Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well. Smile This is going to be a pretty informal introduction, I just thought I would write down some things about myself.

I am a woman in my mid-20s who has earned a great deal of respect for psychoactive substances and altered states of mind. I live a fairly busy life and keep myself distracted with a racing mind in my down time. I will be honest in saying that lately I have detached somewhat from using the internet for anything other than finding information, but part of me still wants to be able to discuss these things I enjoy somewhere where like-minded others gather, and that is what led me to create this account here. So I will admit that even with this I may not be on very frequently, but I would be glad to contribute when I am able. I have what I would consider a lot of experience with various psychoactives that I could share from, but also a lot more I know I still need to learn!

In the past I explored psychoactives indiscriminately between natural and synthetic, old and new, but nowadays I am much more cautious about what I put in my body. I don't necessarily favor some qualities over others, I just restrict myself to either an extremely long history of safe human use or a relatively extensive safe recreational history for synthetic drugs, mostly semi-synthetic starting from a harmless base like psilocin, and preferably having also been put through official human trials. Of course, this does leave me with many more natural than synthetic options. Currently, my favorite plants are Cannabis spp. and Salvia divinorum, and my favorite fungi are Psilocybe spp. and Amanita pantherina. My favorite artificial drugs definitely are LSD and 4-HO-DET.

I will also admit now that though I do occasionally enjoy exploring with DMT, it is not one of my preferred psychoactives. I am, nonetheless, fascinated by it; I simply look for something else out of most of my hallucinogenic experiences. DMT leaves me with an amazingly clear head for a proportionally extreme level of sensory and emotional overload, but my favorite states of mind to explore are those which are actually more like the opposite, ones which cause a very deep psychological disorganization in a proportionally more subtle way. For instance, the Amanita pantherina puts me in a state of mind where I mostly just feel pleasantly drunk but clearheaded and with not much visual distortion occurring but for in the shadows of the room, but my imagination will be traveling through all sorts of delirious tangents, and with eyes closed I may actually see the white light with visions of other worlds swirling around it.

One of the primary things that drew me to this site actually was this fact, because I feel like there are certain aspects of the way I use psychoactives that I would have a harder time connecting with people about elsewhere. The most significant example probably being how I use cannabis; though I have had an on-and-off daily habit with it and also enjoy its medical benefits, I primarily view it as a hallucinogen. It alone has given me many of my most memorable mind-altering experiences, including many white light and out-of-body experiences with beautiful, controllable, tangible psychedelic visions and geometric designs, and sometimes even delirious imagery on a level similar to Salvia divinorum. All of these things occur typically from meditating or deep daydreaming after using cannabis for me, with me still being able to act normal and just feel happily stoned whenever I want to as well, which again goes with my preference for subtle yet potentially deep experiences.

I should say though that just because I like my experiences to be subtle in a sense, it doesn't mean I don't like them to be strong. Salvia divinorum is one of my favorite substances because of how potently it can cause a complete loss of ability to distinguish reality from fantasy and transport one into other realms, but one of the main reasons I really like it is because it is such a head trip at that point! Rather than being totally consciously overwhelmed by it, it just slips in with you barely even noticing. Similarly with the Psilocybe spp., clearly the experience is quite similar to DMT in many ways, but the difference is that the mushrooms prioritize the mental disorganization much higher than the perceptual distortions, which lets them creep into my mind in just the ways that I like. By the time I reach even half the level of visual distortion of DMT, I may not even be present enough to notice them anymore. However, it's worth noting that mushrooms are probably the psychoactive I listed that I have the desire to use the least, and I doubt that I would have a psilocybin trip wherein I wouldn't be willing to bring some DMT in at some point too!

Since I've already covered the others, I guess I'll do the last two as well. As for the LSD, I actually don't tend to get very strong visuals on it unless I dose relatively high, and even then they are more realistic and structured in nature, but despite that, it has actually left me wandering through dream worlds, merging with my imagination, skipping through different lives, and experiencing pure bliss at mostly mental and totally calm doses before, so I think it matches my needs pretty well. 4-HO-DET then actually gives me possibly even milder visuals at the same kinds of doses as LSD and feels so subtle overall that in some ways I barely even feel altered, but at the same time I may be seeing visions that can't even be logically described and flying out of my body at the slightest sensory provocations. I have also used 4-AcO-DET and consider their oral effects to be identical, and when vaporized there is a ten to fifteen minute lag before the effects show up which also leads me to believe that it is only acting as a prodrug to 4-HO-DET. When utilized in this way, it actually starts to become accompanied by delirium and entity contact even while still in the body.

So, I guess that about covers what I have to say about that. As I said, I would be happy to post more about my experiences or give advice based on them when I can, and I also am looking forward to learning more from others here so that I can continue my personal journey! I am especially interested in converting my use of cannabis to almost entirely based around using it as a visionary substance in the near future and am going to be trying to increase my practice of meditation alone and in combination with it and other substances as well. Ultimately, I am just starting to become much more interested in exploring within myself, so I hope that I can progress more with that goal here!

I know exactly what you mean, I'm very much the same way. Probably why Psilocybe mushrooms and Salvia divinorum are two of my favorites as well Smile

Welcome to the Nexus and thank you for that well thought-out introduction. Smile I also can relate to your interests in various plants/substances.

I wish you well and hope you're able to experience your current goals. We can learn and integrate so much from these allies and their extraordinary effects on consciousness. It's difficult to imagine a planet without these molecules, tools and vehicles for further development and growth within each of our own lives. Forever grateful.

Enjoy your progress on the forum. Thumbs up
