When I vape DMT I experience a broad range of experiences/sensations, but my visual hallucinations are usually very cloudy and hard to remember.
From reading around, visual components of DMT trips are variable, but what I'd like to know is how much so?
I've increased dosages and added MOAIs, adjusted my set and setting, but can't seem to really find a consistent way to guarantee increased visual hallucinations during a DMT trip. If anything, I've noticed that dosing right on the edge of breakthrough amounts allows me to keep my mind and consciousness alive more throughout a trip, which helps me "burn in" memories and work with them later.
What are you thoughts? Given a certain quantity/purity/blend of spice, how much more visual do you think you can make an experience via yoga, smoked caapi leaf, different inhalation/holds of vapour?
Is there just a genetic sensitivity to DMT, that you either are a visual person or not? Or can the visual component reliably differ among batches/extractions of DMT?
If you have any personal tips on how to clean up the visual components and improve my post trip memory, I'd love to hear them.
(One thing I do is listen to music, sometimes the same song on repeat. I noticed the fade in and out of being able to hear the tune, and it triggers me to think about solidifying my recent memories instead of shaking them off, like a dreary night's dreams.)

DMT trips can be hard to remember for even the most experienced travelers. It may be that your brain just doesn't hold on to the details very well - it's just part of the natural variance in our brains. There are some things you can do to try and hold onto the memories (think of anything you might to do increase dream recall and it'll work for DMT, generally). There's also some variation in how visual people find their experiences, with tons of psychedelics. I myself have only ever seen tracers once on mushrooms, despite having taken many high doses: I just don't get visuals. A friend might be on the same dose of the same shrooms talking about how the trees are rotating and self-organizing into text, and I just don't see it. That doesn't mean that the experiences aren't profound a moving, just that it's different. Don't stress about it too much. You'll get what you need, whatever form it takes Blessings ~ND "There are many paths up the same mountain."

Its strange how many types and flavors of "visuals" there are too; my last few experiences have been visual in the way a campfire story is visual when you imagine it. Also, I've heard some people say that their changa blends (specifically ones with mugwort, blue lotus) have altered the visual strength, but I haven't gotten a full enough survey about this to say anything "objective" or "definitive" yet. Thanks for your response!

After a certain point it seems impossible not to get visuals (I have a hard time believing that even 14g, for example, wouldn't cause you profound visions).

At level, I'll get tracers, and CEVs, but that's still about it. Even the HD vision/color intensification seems to get lost after about the first hour. I suspected this, though there is nothing wrong with it. I think dose is definitely the culprit, though it sounds like you don't mind (and why should you?). I think you'll find, though, that if you do wish to have visuals, 4.5g would probably do the trick ime. I never really found shrooms all that visual until over 4g but all my friends can have a blast and see infinity on 3g. I guess everyone's different. EDIT: I only asked cause I would have been flabbergasted if you'd meant say a half Oz of shroomies had no visual effect.

Do you think that if I'm not prone to visions on DMT, that this would follow with mushrooms? IE, I wouldn't easily get visions on mushrooms either.
I've never done them, so I'd be open to try.

I find that if I vape spice I am treated to the most amazing visuals mainly based around God Code, breakthrough or sub. Same if I add Rue to the mix but not so with Caapi, Caapi seems to nullify visuals.
My friend has had many vaping sessions with me and yet he has never had any visuals.
I can also recall most of what I see, that stuff is with me for life.

I've never done them, so I'd be open to try. I wouldn't be surprised if this were the case, given how similar 4-HO-DMT and N,N-DMT are chemically and biologically. I have no definitive knowledge as to whether this would be the case, and I also wouldn't be surprised if there was no relationship. Brains are unbelievably complicated and we know so little about these high-level cognitive phenomena that it's impossible to be certain of any predictions. That said: You should definitely try mushrooms and then report back. I'd love to see if susceptibility to visuals was conserved across tryptamines (or even all psychedelics).
