This is my first post on nexus and a practical one at that...
My friend has some Changa, vac-sealed for more than a year.
Upon opening the bag what was found is a gray powdery/crumbly matter
nothing leafy in sight.
So my question is ( to those more versed in the mystiries of said matter ) if this sounds right or we should just bin it.
btw, this is going to be a 1st time..

Thanks for everyone who can comment!

Looks like changa from here! But how are we supposed to know if your changa is any good or not? It's been vacuum sealed so it should be as good as the day is was sealed.

Thanks Flep, just wanted to hear from someone that it does not look totally wrong...
Not sure what can happen to it being stored for so long, and it is 1st time for me with changa... so am a bit nervous.

Man, I've never tried changa but my first time with MAOIs really threw me for a slap. Care to elaborate more on your experience?

Glad you asked Smile this was my first experience with dmt. I put a thin layer of dried mint at the bottom of the bowl, then 50 mg of changa and then some mint on top ( so I don't have direct flame on the substance ) I drew from the bubbler as slow as I could until full lungs ( did not even finish the bowl ) and then started to count ( the plan was to hold it in for 15 sec ) I don't think I went past 3 and I definitely not remembering exhaling. The feeling was like being shot out of a cannon at supersonic velocity ( not that I ever tried it ) very intense and fast moving. I saw fractal patterns with closed eyes and there was a humming sound... And then I found myself in an alien place... So alien I could not translate it to human language. It felt like being inside a machine of some sort and there was activity going on. I was so shocked that I couldn't pay attention to the details ( Will try to improve on this next time ) The only threads of normal reality that I pulled with me into this place were the taste of dmt in my mouth and the music that was on at the time. The music modulated this new reality in a very profound way... It became a feature of the space. Some sort of synesthesia. I opened my eyes few times during the trip and my gf who was babysitting me had 6 eyes and a tube went around her neck and up her nose. She looked like an alien warrior Smile the whole thing took around 10 minutes and although it scared the hell out of me I felt very good afterwards ( as if I slept for 10 hours )
Notes:
1) qualitatively I found it to be similar to a dreaming state
2) this thing is alien. There is no human emotion that can communicate with it
3) definitely deserves further investigation which I intend to do once I get the courage.

Sounds like you got some good changa, pilgrim! Does your friend know what the ratio of spice to leaf is? I can also really relate to how crazy people's faces look while you're on DMT. I like to think they look like that face that's on all the Shpongle album covers.

It was 1:1 ratio.
Everything i read suggested chanaga should be softer and more grounded than freebase but this thing came up so quickly and was so intense that maybe it was a bit light on the leaf ?

1:1 Changa is usually just as intense as freebase. If you made a 2:1 or 3:1 with lots of harmala it would have been more "calm".

A question:
Is it possible to take my 1:1 changa and mix it with siryan rue ( 25X extract ) in order to get a less strong changa ? or is it require a chemical process ?

thanks!

Music is alive and in your soul. It can move you. It can carry you. It can make you cry! Make you laugh. Most importantly, it makes you feel! What is more important than that?

You could sprinkle some on top or sandwich it but for it to be most effective you would need some sort of solvent (99% iso, 95% drinkable grain ethanol, or Acetone). Throw your changa into a shot glass with the solvent (warm with hot water bath) and add your desired amount of Syrian rue and additional herbs (if needed).

Or, you could infuse some herbs with just the Syrian rue and once that is done you could smoke a half and half blend. Say you were smoking 100mg, you could load 50mg of your already made changa and 50mg of your rue only leaf. Mix them together before placing in your smoking device. That should do the trick.
