Hello, brothers and sisters. I'm Dr. Illusion, most people just call me Doc.

I've been lurking on the Nexus for quite some time. I 1st discovered it a few years ago when I decided I wanted to try DMT, after seeing it mentioned often on Mycotopia.

Here's a little background on how I ended up as an explorer of the inner mind. I grew up in a rural area and had always heard about "shrooms." I sort of figured people were making these stories up, or it was a placebo effect. On my 19th birthday I discovered that I was wrong.

I encountered someone who had access to shrooms. I procured a gallon sized ziploc bag of fresh fungus. This individual gave me no info on dosage or anything else (shady drug dealer). So I dumped the entire bag into a pot and made tea. I drank it all through a straw very quickly. I "came to" on the other side of town, at a friends house, with three people holding me down in a bathroom. I won't go into what I saw and where I was in my head during all that time, but it suffices to say that my life was changed dramatically. I didn't touch shrooms again until several years later, when I decided to start growing them.

After a few years of growing shrooms and dosing pretty regularly, I decided to try DMT. I obtained MHRB and did a STB extraction and tried smoking it, which I failed at. So a pound of powdered MHRB sat in my closet for 3 years. I finally decided to get some Syrian Rue and try it orally. WOW.

I've dosed orally 5 times now, and I'm using Acacia these days, since MHRB is impossible to get. I'm actually writing this on the comedown of a massive dose (not sure how much, since I get yellow oil/goo from acacia which is very hard to weigh). So I apologize if I'm babbling or writing nonsense.

I decided to register here so I could help others in their travels. I'm pretty much where I want to be and pretty comfortable with my chemistry and what-not, I primarily want to do what I can to add to the knowledge base and help, while learning from others walking this path. This place has given me a lot, and I want to give back and share whatever I possibly can.

Great to meet y'all, and safe travels.

-Doc

Thanks, Jees. Thrilled to be here. This place is awesome. I just love the intelligent discussion and peaceful arguments/debates. Nexians seem able to disagree and test each others ideas without resorting to ad hominem or aggression/profanity, and that is a rare thing on the internet these days.

You guys rock.

Music is alive and in your soul. It can move you. It can carry you. It can make you cry! Make you laugh. Most importantly, it makes you feel! What is more important than that?

Welcome!

That sounded like it must have been quite the mushroom journey! Anyway, you have definitely come to the right place. Friendly, intelligent folks are around every corner here. Glad to make your acquaintance!

Have a nice day!

Grateful One, you have no idea. Ego death was just the beginning in that trip. I apparently woke up my friends parents (I was at his house) and was acting so wild his Dad punched me in the face to calm me down and then threw me off their porch because even a punch in the face didn't affect me.

My friend knew nothing about drugs, didn't know what I was on and drove me to the first person he could think of who knew something about drugs. It was at this friends house that I came to, 18 hours later. After trying to destroy his bathroom, apparently.

In my head, during this time, I was bathed in pure golden light and trying to deal with the idea that I was God and no other being existed in the Universe, and everything was just my own dream to entertain myself. I'm sure we've all been there.

Freedom's so hard
When we are all bound by laws
Etched in the scheme of nature's own hand
Unseen by all those who fail
In their pursuit of fate

Many thanks, Doc Buxin.

Jees, I hope you never had the experience of being beaten and thrown off a porch. Words of advice, let people know what you're doing so you don't freak them out.

I meant that we've all been in the place of "Nothing exists, it's just me, God, making things up for amusement." At least anyone who has gone REALLY deep.
