I did a water extraction of cappi leaf leaving a paste after evaporating out the water dryed into a brown powder...

Im trying to weigh out in mgs about 150 to 200mgs of the brown maoi powder on a scale..

Set on mgs.. i weighed a small pile of the dry brown cappi powder ..the pile is about the same size as a 35mg pile of dmt crystals...but reads much higher in weight?

Asuming DMT crystals are much lighter in density than the extracted cappi leaf powder

The scale reads ...[0.0174].... Does this mean 174mgs??....or am i reading it wrong?

The scale doesnt have a [mg setting].. but converts to mgs in the [gram setting]..

again...0.0174?.....does this mean 174 mgs?...
would apreciate an opinion...

0.0174 = 17mg and some "change"

Unless I am misunderstanding what you are saying. If your gram scale is sensitive enough to weigh in mg (which you said it converts) then the above statement is correct.

Conversion Chart / Table

Milligram to gram conversion

mg = g
1.0 = 0.001
2.0 = 0.002
3.0 = 0.003
4.0 = 0.004
5.0 = 0.005
6.0 = 0.006
7.0 = 0.007
8.0 = 0.008
9.0 = 0.009

Gram to milligram conversion

1.0 = 1000
2.0 = 2000
3.0 = 3000
4.0 = 4000
5.0 = 5000
6.0 = 6000
7.0 = 7000
8.0 = 8000
9.0 = 9000

gram = milligrams
10 = 10000
20 = 20000
30 = 30000
40 = 40000
50 = 50000
100 = 100000
500 = 500000
1000 = 1000000
5000 = 5000000

milligrams = grams
10 = 0.01
20 = 0.02
30 = 0.03
40 = 0.04
50 = 0.05
100 = 0.1
500 = 0.5
1000 = 1
5000 = 5

The gram (abbreviation and symbol: g) is the unit of mass in the metric system (SI, International System of Units). 1 gram (g) = 1000 milligrams (mg) = 0.001 kilogram (kg) = 0.0352739619 ounces (oz) = 0.00220462262 pounds (lbs) = 0.000157473044 stones (st).

This is the real, secret, reason your math teacher told your class to stay awake.
It wasnt so you could share 8 apples with 9 people (who does that) they were trying to help you do drugs.
I was lucky, my teachers were hippies and told us math would help with drugs. Thats why in highschool I aced everything straight through pre-calc Wink

In a base 10 number system with positional multipliers, like the one we have, you just move the decimal to adjust by powers of ten. Theres a thousand milligrams in a gram so just move the dot 3 spaces, 1.000 grams = 1000 mg
