My friend SWIM asked me which test kit he should buy, he told me he occasionally uses MDMA, DMT, and LSD from time to time, but he also mentioned that usually he usually drops his LSD on to Altoids for easy consumption, and is currently out of plain liquid. I was wondering if there is any data as to whether or not the "LSD" being on an Altoid would have any effect on the test results. Currently SWIM is planning on buying the Elrich, Marquis, and Mecke tests based on the Testing LSD thread on the forums already.

Does anyone one know anything about tests when LSD is on an Altoid?

Also any other guidance when it comes testing would be great. SWIM has been reading a ton about it but he still feels a little lost getting started.

Thanks!

I'm not sure if normal altoids fluoresce under blacklight, but LSD certainly does.
As far as I know the potent psychedelic phenethylamines ie. NBOMes, DOx won't fluoresce

This shouldn't be taken as a definitive test, but perhaps it's of some use to you

Get a vial of Ehrlich reagent and have him put a drop of the "LSD" on a plate. Follow up with a drop of ehrlich and see what happens. I wouldn't recommend testing altoid mint which has LSD in it. For all you know the Ehrlich may turn another color due to contaminants in mint, making you think that LSD is bunk when it really isn't. Many Many Many psychoactive compounds fluoresce under a blacklight and that method wouldn't be very accurate. The only sure-fire way to know is either to use ehrlich reagent or conduct TLC or mass spec on it.

Bumping this in case anyone else ever runs into this problem, I got a chance to test the same LSD both as liquid and on an altoid. I could certainly see a clear positive on both the altoid and the liquid, which means that it should be possible to only test the altoid if you don't have any other option.

Method: Break off 1/4 to 1/2 of an altoid that has been pre dropped. Place your dose on a glass plate or table (something that can be cleaned easily). You should be able to see which side the altoid was dropped, it will be slightly discolored. Place one drop of the reagent onto the altoid, it should turn purple, slightly lighter then a normal test since the LSD will be diluted by whatever else is in an altoid.

Hope this can help someone in the same spot I was a few months ago Smile

Remember to test an altoid that hasn't had anything added to it, just to be sure.

β€œThere is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."

Good Idea! I'll give that a shot after work and post the results here Smile
