Looking good Thumbs up

Nice to see your not getting any contams.

I need to take some pic's of my azurescens mycelium, and my pan.cambs as soon as it gets going.

You are more than welcome to vicariousLaughing

Tonnes of hyphal knots and primordia, and the first visible pin. Give me a day or two and I'll post some picks of a stronger pin set.

You saw that little fella staring at you, lol.

I hear the second flush is better than the first with Hawaiians, but that could be hype too. Looks like it might not be too shabby for cakes though... I mean, It won't be like a Forest of mush that I just seen recentlyPleased Laughing

Check this out, I decided to throw 1 jar of grain spawn (extra) into a bucket of potting soil and a couple handfuls of manure compost just to see what would happen, if anything outside. Today I picked my first flush, lol. Pretty hardy stuff.

Good question, I don't know if dog poo has right stuff in it, though a lot of it does have grain fillers in them. Only one way to find out.

Really I didn't know if what I did was going to work, hell it's 90% regular potting soil, but the mycelium sure over ran it in no time and the rhizo's climbing up the side of the bucket. Suprized it worked. I didn't want to toss the grain spawn in the yard for squirrels to eat and I already had the pan cambs filling my other space.

Here's one of the azurescen mycelium taking over wood chips in my spot outside. Cool

Pinning!

Day 12 first flush:

We have pins here and there, lots of bottom pinning that was to hard to take pics of. Pins range from location and size wildly. Here's a few of the highlights.

Won't be long to munching time Big grin Looking good so far, glad you are having better luck this go around.

I need to try cakes at least once! I have what I need to do it, I wonder if the penis envys would do well on cakesWut? I'll do some searching and see, in meantime gotta wait to get these pan cams done so I can get prints.

Nemesauce do you usually do cakes? How many flushes are they good for?

This is my 6th cake grow, I want to try something else out though, I think I'll do a pom 2.0 next time. The cakes are good for 3-5 flushes, depends on how much they have left for nutrition in the cake, but if you do get a 4th or 5th flush its usually just a few mushrooms. I've only taken it to 3 before then I need the space for something else.

I've been playing around with these Hawaiians and B+ for 5 years, but this year I have a few more p.cubensis varieties to grow outBig grin also I'll probably get some pans for a fall project.

Maybe if you take an extra PE we can do a little tradingBig grin

Do you know if they work well on cakes? Someone mentioned that it's hard to get prints from them but I don't have a problem trying.

The pics I've shown so far are of the B+ strain, I still have Treasure Coast to do, but they look pretty much like the B+ mushies, PE will be started after these pan cams are done and printed. Azurescens, I'll just have to wait and see if them pop up this year, if so then I'll be printing them as well. I'm going to print as much as possible. Thumbs up

I've never worked with PE before so I don't have first hand knowledge, but I don't see why they wouldn't, they do take a bit longer to fruit I've read, something like 3 weeks.

I have a big grow schedule this summer too, I have Brazilian I just knocked up this morning, I also have Cambodian, golden teacher, and more B+ to do.

Are they albino PE? Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think albinos don't print well, but maybe all don't? I'd try anywaysWink

I want say they are not albino but I can't be for sure until I get home to check. I will check to be sure and then post back. I just know they are supposed to be bigger and more potent, even thought about trying them on straw. Prints are the goal for now though.
