Hey everyone!

I have not experienced a psychedelic trip before. I would like to learn as much as I can about myself, nature, and the universe through this and other journeys. Ayahuasca is very appealing to me because of the spirituality aspect. I've read that first time users can just use B. caapi only. I was thinking to use 114 grams.

What is everyone's opinions on this matter?

Would this journey open my eyes to things that are only accessible through psychedelics?

Thanks for all the answers!

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

I never took such a big dose of caapi, but ive experimented a little bit with a cup of caapi tea before bedtime (about 10g leaf cooked for a few hours or 10g vine), and had some of the most intense and longest dreams in my life. The next day had lots of similarities like those days after strong psychedelic experiences. If you really want to start this journey slow maybe thats a good point to start?

Also I think about higher doses of caapi, theres already alot of information on the Nexus if you do a little research. Smile

I think using vine only brews is a great way for beginners to start. Some people even prefer Ayahuasca without any "light" admixture (like Richard Schultes for example). I think it is a little easier to manage and less intense, but the teachings come through clear still.

You could potentially have a deep visual psychedelic type of experience with vine-only, but I wouldnt expect it. Expectations can really ruin ceremonies sometimes - you miss out on whats there because you spend the whole time looking for something else.... Vine only brews arent always more subtle, but they often are - so you may or may not have visions. You may not notice anything. You may notice a lot. Let it be whatever it wants to be and try to appreciate what you get, even if at first it seems like nothing.

The amount you want to use sounds fine... A little strong, but not too strong, especially considering you arent adding any "light" source like chacruna.

After you drink it, try to stay awake for a couple hours at least to see if it takes you on a journey, but even if you dont get out that far, pay attention to your dreams later. I recommend following dieta too - prepare your body for the medicine to increase your chances of a deeper experience.

Compared to other psychedelics, Ayahuasca is sometimes the most elusive in ceremony.... It may take a few ceremonies to really make a connection, or it may happen right away. Took me 4 ceremonies to really get there.... It is worth the work though - just try to be understanding and grateful even if you dont meet her right away Smile (she rewards dedication and effort)
