After noticing the huge similarity between Tepezcohuite (Mimosa Hostilis) and Mezquite (Prosopis Juliflora), i got my hands on some PJRB.

About 300 grams of fresh root bark was extracted from some nearby park and put (unpulverized) into a mason jar with a drop of muriatic acid. Let it sit for a day, strained, basified, extracted with naphtha and is currently evap'ing.

When i basified, the deep-bright transparent red tone of the brew immediately turned into a light brown and got cloudy, and a lot of precipitate formed. I added more lye and water (further basifying) and the red tone came back, only darker and a bit more on the yellow side. I think the precipitate that first formed were alkaloids turning into their freebase form, precipitating in the not-basic-enough water solution.

Will post back as soon as i run the first bio-assay.

Checking for psychoactivity, would you render 35mg of the resulting substance being vapourized and inhaled as unsafe?

EDIT: thanks for the information by the way

Ever get around to trying it out?

I'd recommend much lower for the first time though; imagine if it has a particularly high 5-MeO-DMT concentration? 35mg of that would be insane...

Last seen 21st July 2015... hope they're ok...

Any toxicity data for juliflorine, juliflorinine, julifloricine, julifloridine, N-methyljulifloridine, juliprosine and juliprosinene?

And to think I've been reprimanded for describing an extract of Californian poppy.

A similar safety warning would be appropriate for this thread. It would be nice to know that this member has come to no harm as a result of their research. Their absence causes me some tinge of concern.

I am missing the very important safety aspects here in the first post.

See this thread about the why and how of this:

If the first post will not be changed then this thread will be removed.

Kind regards,

β€œThere is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."
