Hey guys. I sadly come today to ask a question about a screw-up of mine. Let me give some backstory.

I got 1 gram of DMT recently, and decided to make enchanted leaf with it. I had some 1x caapi leaf and 91% IPA. I poured 500mg of DMT into 2 different little glass jar things, and put about 20ml of the IPA in each. Soon after, I decided that I actually wanted 500mg of that in crystal form, and the other 500 in the leaf. So, I put the leaf in one and left the other one to evaporate as it was.

Days passed, and that brings me here. The IPA has (at least as far as I can tell) completely evaporated from the one without leaf. What I have found myself left with, though, is some sort of sticky yellowish material (the crystals were yellow to start). Now here's where my question comes in.

How am I supposed to get it all out, and do you think it will be the full 500mg or will I have lost som? Should I try to get it on a butter knife and then wipe it onto some leaf, or what? I'm a bit confused as to how I should go about getting it out efficiently while minimizing the amount lost. Also, why is it even sticky? Why weren't there just plain crystals left behind? (The IPA was just 91% with water, nothing else). I also do still want to weigh it before dosing, and I'm not sure how I'll do that in it's current form.

Anyway, you said you started with 500mg and split into two containers, then suddenly you got an extra 500mg out of nowhere that you want just pure crystrals with?... I thought you only had 500mg?

If all your yellow spice is mainly on the bottom of the container and not on the leaf then you can wipe it with the leaf... I find for getting it off the bottom IPA is stubborn and only acetone really dissolve it with rubbing with a finger... but once it is IN the leaf acetone doesn't want to bring it back out (see my thread).

DMT is polymorphous meaning it can be a crystal or it can be a goo, normally when exposed for some time it turns to goo but its still dmt or dmt-n-oxide.

If you really are dead set on weighing it, weigh a leaf, then wipe the dmt on, then weigh the leaf again and split the leaf up. Or acetone it from the bottom, then put the more leaf in the acetone then evaporate and dmt will be dispersed everywhere making it easy to control how much leaf you take (no need for weighing). can only really weigh with crystals before you put it in acetone to make enchanted leaf. hope that helps

The alkaloids tend not to crystallize well out of alcohol as you well found out. If you want to get it back as crystals dissolve it in naphtha and freeze precip it. You may have lost a little yield but it should be pretty negligible.

Alternately just redissolve it in the IPA or whatever other solvent and infuse it into plant material, that will give you a more even distribution of the material on the herbs than if you just just wipe the goo on them.
