So this is definitely one of the best books ive read in awhile. I usually read the usual ethnobotany and anthropology and they are very informative reads but not to big in the "fun" to read category I suppose, but omg was this book so amazingly written just like a neuroscience novel or something lol I just could not stop reading and reading because it was just fun to read about his hypothesis and personal experiences and stories from others about amazing outdoor experiences.
The basis of this book is to try to get the whole "adrenalin junky" thing away from most of those activities that are labeled that. It gets into how from his personal experiences and talking to people that hike, climb mountains and ski that there is far moar to the experience you get from exerting yourself in that way.
While reading this all I could think about was how much everyone in this community would love to read this book. Im pretty sure most everyone here has gotten that high from just being out in nature for extended periods of time exerting yourself. I really just wanted to make this thread to get it out there that everyone here would love reading this as much as I have and see how many here already have. feel free to add other books you feel are a good read for this community or talk about this amazingly fun book.
