Keep in mind that all other equipment would have to be substituted via household items.
Personally I would choose a separatory funnel. I've had plenty of experiences with gravy separators and turkey basters, but they just don't achieve the precision that is offered by a separatory funnel.
What about you?

Id probably have to say a 10ml pipette. Accuracy with it is nice. It can take a bit longer versus a baster, but there's alot more control and you can get nearly all the NPS without any base mix (and if you happen to, you can just squeeze the bulb a little bit release it).

I'd say a büchner funnel, but as an individual it's not all that useful. So I'll say a 1000mL sep. funnel.

Pyrex dishes and turkey basters are household items and sufficient IMO. Diabetes syringes are in a grey area so I'd go for analytic equipment (GC/MS, HPLC systems...) if it be my imaginary TEK. The guy/gal who operates this is not an item and not necessarily me. ![Razz](/forum/images/emoticons/tongue.png) If the system tells me that my household items produced junk, I can always refine the process.

Why would you want a 1 liter syringe?

I had a 2000ml sep funnel and it was 'over rated' if you ask me..the 'soup' always clung to the sides upon opening it up to drain, thus, taking longer than I wanted to get clean pulls.. glass syringes are faster IMO Anyways, if I had to choose, it would be a distiller Everything I say here happened in My own Imagination. The more fantastic it sounds, the more you can count on it being in the realm of Dreams,

It might take a bit longer but it still faster and more effective than using syringes ime

I agree with having a glass pipette, it would make collecting the solvent pulls easier.

Definately a separatory funnel, I have a 3 ml pipete so it just takes foreeeeeever to separate my layers.
Not related to the extractions, but I'd also loooove to get my hands on some chromatography equipment.

one could easily manage without a sep funnel. add a lighter-than-water solvent that dmt is very soluble in, but won't freeze (like ether or toluene) and decant. think outside the box..
