Keep in mind, quartz heats up quite fast. Trial and error is essential. For me the best temp. gauge is holding my finger an inch above the nail. For me, I know exactly how it should feel when the nail is ready. This took a few days to dial in.
Also, as far as quartz quality, generally, the more you pay, the higher quality the quartz. Any of them should get the job done but for better durability, longevity and flavor a nicer nail will be noticeably different.
