I agree completely with your outlook, antrocles. It's what I've also figured out for myself (and it's also STRAIGHT in line with "The Lazy Man's Guide to Enlightenment," which I've mentioned before.

Instead of a law against DMT, there should be a law that everyone going on DMT voyages should have an understanding of your outlook, and if they don't GET IT, then they should put off their journey until they do get it.

I would like to nominate Ant as the ambassador from the Nexus to the rest of the world... ... so spot on!

trust me on this one: i would love nothing more than to be an ambassador for this righteous sacrament. what it has to offer i truly believe is of MASSIVE benefit to many seekers of wisdom. what i love the most is that it is in line with one of my favorite pearls of wisdom:

"do not seek to follow in the footsteps of the wise....rather...seek what they sought".

dmt is not a religion. it is not a guru. it is not a definitive answer. it is not any "thing".

it is you. and as YOU seek what the wise before you once sought....it is, perhaps, the star that can help light the way. you still have to walk the path and make corrections as you do so....but for me, the sacred spice and it's illuminating of my highest self even if only for a short while helps me to stay focussed on the general direction i am heading.

i myself appreciate that. it's no different than any religion one may come across really....only, being able to actually EXPERIENCE what i am striving towards...it's like taking beginning guitar lessons while getting to know, if only for a minute, the feeling of BEING the instrument....completely at fascility and oneness with it....to allow the music within you to flow through you with no inhibition whatsoever.

imagine how much MORE those guitar lessons would mean if you actually KNEW what it felt like to be that good.....

now replace "guitar" with "true self"...

I wish I had your ability to turn off the noodle everytime. It's amazing to me that you're always so able to - I'm more than a little envious. For me, it's such an enormous crapshoot - bliss, terror, bliss, terror - and I just never have a clue in advance which way it's going to fall. It really is inspiring to watch the evolution of your relationship unfold. I'm really happy it's worked out so well and continues to aid in your growth.

How?

I looked at it, I don't see how that would help quiet down, or block out a noisy road, any more then any other background noise generator would.
But any noise is not wanted. So covering it up doesn't help.
I need to move back to a small Midwestern town...thats all.

Also, the "noise canceling headphones" don't really work for low frequency rumble either. Same as foam earplugs, the low freqs are still felt through you body & your brain fills in the missing harmonics when there is a fundamental frequency there.
That happens the other way around too, if you hear only the mid & high frequency harmonics, your brain will fill in the missing fundamental that is missing.
This is one of the psycoacoustic principles that the BOSE wave radio & others like it use, to make bigger bass tones seemingly come from such a small speaker. Trick is, they don't come from the speaker...they come from your brain.

Thanks for the advice below... laying on my back spread out on my bed did seem to make a difference in detaching from my body. Had a really nice one last night. However my only thing is that I can't seem to get more than one big toke !! I usually half fill my little bong with Changa (its about 1:1 I think) and smoke it all in one big pull, and then just hold it in, and then the mandala starts spinning and enveloping me... before I know it I am heading for hyperspace... I'm gonna try and see if I can hold on to physical reality enough to do another hit.. maybe I need a bigger bong??

I spent ages mentally preparing myself before blast off last night, had some fear about it, but it was beautiful and loving it usually is .. I was shown some dark areas of hyperspace, but just like "yes there are dark areas here aswell" and saw some kind of "windows" into dark nothingness, but did not go through them, just aware of them; In contrast to the colourful and comical dance of dmt world
