Or whatever !!
Well over two weeks now - I just looked again - still can´t post.

Neither have I received any kind of response to the emails I have sent.

I think they have just abandoned the site they have set up - just let the machines run it for existing members. New folks - can´t be bothered with them !!

I am here!

It's been quite a while for me, but I recently performed my first extraction on some San Pedro and it was successful. So I've been buzzing around the Nexus lately.

Nice to see you all here!

Hello Anne - how nice to see you. Reminds me of the days at Mycotopia. Those daft bastards eventually banned me - and you do have to be a special kind of stupid to ban a donator when you are totally dependent on donations !!!

Good luck with your next batch of Frankenplants - I am as committed to growing them on their own roots as ever !! Although I have recently carried out my first successful graft - an experiment I did as I will need to graft a cristate next season.

Although I came here to regrettably say that I basically killed my larger pedro by leaving it outside like a dummy. It froze and thawed... most of it rotted. I just cut off all the nasty bits and I fear that there's still more to come. My beautiful pedro has been reduced to a stump Sad I am hoping that what's left may be able to survive and grow anew.

My smaller plant (which is now my larger plant) is completely fine, however. The story is that some time in the dead of winter it warmed up to around 45 degrees and my larger plant was etiolating slightly so I stuck my plants outside in an effort to cool them down and stop unwanted growth. Although after about a day it got freezing cold and I forgot to bring my plants in at night. It was single digits that night. Frozen solid. I am sad.

Thank you! I'm hoping my plant will fully recover and grow new branches like it's no big deal. I'm sure I'll keep progress posted on here.

Sorry to hear about that Nathaniel. I once had an old plant freeze and turn to mush - a sad loss.

Thanks for your condolences. I think I have to cut more off my little stump of a plant Sad I'm hoping that the very last little nub of it may save itself. It's getting down to the bottom here. Ehhhh.... and this plant was poised to grow 4 beautiful branches this year! Well, I always have other plants to work on.

Now I know what to do for this years Xmas tree - thanks guys!

Condolences to you, Nathaniel.

My trichs have carried on growing through the winter as they are on a windowsill over a radiator getting 75% sunlight on a (sunny) winter's day and when it's sunny, the weather's cold and then the heating stays on. So I watered them a bit and some of the bridges in particular seemed to rather like it Smile

Wouldn't much dream of taking my cacti outside as they would have to come down two flights of stairs = face full of prickles (I'm clumsy)!

“There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."

Thank you. Well, I officially killed my one pedro and I am bummed. It was a dumb mistake and I wish I didn't do it. But on the plus side my other pedro is thriving and in good health. I'm hoping this means it is a strong plant that will live a full life! It's good that I can always make clones from this plant. I was hoping to take cuttings from my other one, but oh well, life goes on.

You are me and I am you, I'll always be with you...
