I have an idea for my greenhouse next year. Last winter I rapped it in plastic, but it doesn't get very cold here and I really didn't need the plastic.
I took the plastic off 3 weeks ago, I have HBWR, Caapi, various Passifloras, ipomoeas, a mirliton vine and moonflowers growing around the sides. I'm going to let them all cover the frame and when it gets cold, I'll leave the vines on the outside to block the north wind and offer some protection for my more cold sensitive plants.
And inside of it during the summer, will be a cool place to hang out with my plants and so forth. Plus my chacrunas should love all the shade.
Next time I build a greenhouse, I'm going to build the frame entirely from cane grass stalks. Then do the same thing with the vines.
