I can attest to the long lasting effects of Kratom. Even if I take it at around 8 in the morning I can still feel effects at midnight (especially if I vaporize Cannabis around that time).
I know that combining Kratom with Grapfruit juice and other mild MAOIs such as tobacco or chocolate is usually considered safe (though smoking tobacco leads to nausea in some people during Kratom activity).
However little research has been done in regards to combining it with stronger MAOIs such as Syrian Rue, Caapi or SSRis, though the general consent seems to be to better avoid these combinations (since Kratom is partly considered a stimulant especially in lower dosages).
Quote:I don't know how serotonergic Kratom really is.
I received these quotes from this site:
http://psychotropicon.in...ure-effect-pharmacology/ which might be of interest to you regarding the serotonergic effects of Kratom.
Quote:Mitragynine is said to be similarly involved in the descending noradrenergic (mainly responsible for the bodily concomitant symptoms of anxiety) and serotonergic systems of the spinal cord. There are different pain modulating systems in the central nervous system, where the noradrenergic and serotonergic systems play an important role in the transmission of nociceptive information from sensory neurons (primary afferent neurons in the dorsal horn of the vertebrae), that pass information of their dendritic receptors of sensory organs or other organs of the body on to the brain
Quote:1966a Matsumoto et al. found in a further study, that mitragynine causes directly or indirectly the release of endogenous noradrenaline and 5-HT at the nerve endings of aminergic neurons, which use monoamines as neurotransmitters, leading to the blockage of nociceptive informations. But presently no proof exists for the affinity of mitragynine for these special receptors. Nevertheless the similarity of kratom alkaloids to other biologically active components allows the conclusion, that mitragynine and its congeners are taking part in the activation or inhibition of other receptor systems (Babu et al. 200

I sometimes like to vaporize Kratom since this way I feel the effects more in the mind than in the body.
Another factor is that the Kratom buzz doesnt seem to last as long as through other ROAs and that I need way less as opposed to a tea or toss n wash.
Does anybobdy know if the half-time of vaporized Kratom is as long as digested Kratom?
