Hello and welcome to the forum. I’ve been increasing in recent years about my belief about there being more to meets the eye but it was not always like this. The first school I went to taught religious education and I considered myself to be a believer in God but it was the typical childhood image of a bearded bloke in the clouds who would let you into heaven if you had been good or zap you to oblivion if you hadn’t. The next school I went to was uber-religious, morning and evening prayers and was very traditional and it was more like indoctrination and it really put me off the whole religion thing, this led me to denouncing religion and I considered myself to be aetheist from around 12 – 18.
Then I started experimenting in a variety of substances and i slowly started to become interested in consciousness, and exploring my consciousness through various experiences, and like yourself I had a niggling feeling that there is more to existence than meets the eye, and from what I read most people on this forum tend to be of a similar opinion.
It’s funny as those who are anti-drugs see drugs as being the source of all evil, but for many people it marks the first steps in their spiritual development and harmony with the world
