Assuming you are using the same solvents & didn't accidentally contaminate, or mess up some part of the extraction process, I would guess it's an issue with low quality bark.
Hard to say for sure though.
BTW, if you
wanting to pull "
Jungle Spice" out of the bark using Xylene, you
do not want to be washing it with Naptha!!
Only the Pure N,N-DMT is soluble in the Naptha. So after using it (correctly), you no longer have the "Jungle" elements.
They are only soluble in the Xylene.
If you are using the Naptha
on purpose, in order to get rid of the "Jungle" stuff & yield
only DMT, there is
absolutely no need to put yourself through the horrible crap that comes with using Xylene as a solvent!!
Just use the Naptha in the first place to pull only the N,N-DMT out of the bark solution.
D-Limonene works just as good,
or better, than Xylene, plus it doesn't make the whole house smell like a stinky auto shop for days!!
In fact, it smells very nice...like oranges! It is orange oil.
All of the teks that use Xylene as a solvent, can use D-Limo in place of the Xylene.
Most of them have been, or are being revised, using D-Limo anyway! It's just a better solvent in every way!!
