Interesting article... it's amazing the stuff you don't think about

Just a quick question about this section:

An unusual psychiatrist, professor of medicine at University of New Mexico, and practicing Buddhist, Dr. Rick Strassman, MD, has written a book based on actual human studies of people under the psychedelic drug, DMT, titled DMT, The Spirit Molecule. He has discovered, among other things, that the pineal gland is a source of DMT production during birth and at death, and during near death or mystical experiences. This chemical approach corroborates the idea of the pineal gland as a portal, where the spirit passes through to other dimensions, either entering this physical realm or leaving it.

Was this actually proven? I thought it was mere speculation?

Yes, i beleive it is just speculation.I have never seen any other source except Strassman's book.DMT is however found in the blood, urine, and cerebralspinal fluid of humans and maybe all mammals.Plus its in many different plants. It is everywhere.Yet it is highly illegal.Because governments couldnt control everyone if we all woke up and realized the truth about reality.

Yeah i dont think he actually definitivley prooved it. I think the idea just fit in with his theories at the time.
But whether dmt is produced there or not, it is believed to be the third eye in many schools of thought, so its an interesting notion to see these groups pushin water flourodation when there has been no actual proof of therapeutic attributes. What is thier real motive here, are they really tryna keep us spiritually supressed?

yeah, even tying the pineal gland to spirituality is anecdotal at best. the gland is known to secrete melatonin, a hormone which regulates circadian clock rhythms.

fluoridation of the pineal gland? I wouldn't lose any sleep over it
...or would I?

Laughing

by the way...who drinks tap water anymore? get a brita filter, ffs.

I think this flouride in the water stuff is all hype. There is more flouride in your toothpaste and no matter how good you are at not swallowing you still swallow some of it.

There is so much BS on sites like nature news its not even funny.

Precisely, is already in our toothpaste. So why are the government spending money puttin in the water if we are supossedly already getting from elsewhere.

Even if the whole pineal thing is a bit tenuous, there are still many other researchers claiming it has harmful properties.

of course it's harmful. that's its purpose: to deactivate structural proteins in bacteria.

I'm as much of a conspiracy theorist as the next guy, but man.. you also have to understand the fundamentals of how things work.

Was it Paracelsus whote "the dose makes the poison"? Why fluoride should be different?

Erm so why are they saying that the reason for fluoride in water is because its good for us and it help with bones and teeth!!!
Thats the angle they work with, not it biocidal properties.
Plus they already chlorinate the water for that purpose anyway and thats bad enough being as its not exactly safe either, so there is no reason for them to start adding other shit in there either is there?

it's long been known that fluoride ions leach calcium. it's a primary reason HF is so toxic

The wikipedia article suggests its main function in preventing tooth decay is surface remineralization of enamel, from carbonate hydroxyapatite to "fluorapatite." It seems to give a pretty convincing explanation.

This little writeup talks about fluoride in the pineal gland. I was interested to find that the pineal gland itself contains the most hydroxyapatite of any internal tissue--and this is why it so strongly binds fluoride. The implication is that enough fluoride is present to disrupt enzyme function...

Here is where they are sayin it to name a few
http://www.bfsweb.org/fa...ntal_benefits/facts_.htm
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_fluoridation

They all highlight the the fact tat its supposed to help our teeth. There is no mention of it being used to kill bacteria at all.

But its nonsense, why are they puttin in the water when there are thing like this goin around.
http://www.guardian.co.u...neandhealth.genderissues

The point is, you google the benifits of water fluoridation and all the claims are for our teeth. But as it was pointed out earlier in the thread we already get it from toothpaste so whats the point. It doenst make sense. Especialy with all the other negative thngs that it can cause.

The link I gave in another post refers to an article that demonstrates that gerbils indeed produce less melatonin when fluoride is in their drinking water. You might INDEED lose sleep over it.

Sleep is EXTREMELY important for physical and mental health. Wouldn't be interesting to find that we have very subtly been degrading our quality of life--so quietly that we didn't distinctly notice it. It IS widely acknowledged that people in western societies sleep fewer hours per night than they used to.

Research has also shown that the pineal gland contain micro calcite crystals which may, like the crstals found in the inner ear, exhibit peizoelectricity and potentally act like a reciever of sorts. Reciever of what?
Who knows because were fuckin it up with flouride!

do any of these studies give any conclusive evidence?
...

it's fun to speculate, I guess

but like I said...who drinks tap water? silly kids who don't know any better, or people who are oblivious to the fact that municipal water has ions in it.

it's a no brainer, really. get a filter, or drink bottled water. municipal water from the tap is gross.

They put flouride in the water for the same reason they put chlorine in it --->To sterilize it. Personally if I live in a city whose drinking water comes from sewage I don't mind that little extra chemical. Its better then getting fecal material in your water which can kill you. I have no problem drinking straight tap water even if its chlorinated. To flavor it up I just put some lemon in it. Filters don't do much except remove some solid particles, not sure how effectivily they remove chlorine or flourine. I fear not the tap.

Bottled water has phlalates or other plastisizers in it.

There is no way to avoid chemical exposure. Therefore I relish in it. haha no seriously just be healthy otherwise and you'll be fine. If we didn't chemically treat water many more people would be dieing. In some cases you can design sewage treatment facilities that don't need chemical treatment and this is something cities should strive for but with most municipalities broke and their consitutents broke because the federal goverment steals all our money and wastes it we can't upgrade.

Do you have a reference for that? I've simply never heard that. The best known (only known that I've heard) reason for adding fluoride to drinking water is for the prevention of dental caries. Furthermore, I can think of no reason the flouride ion would sterilize water. Chlorine (of course not chloride) sterilizes by forming hypochlorous acid. Fluoride is added in ionic form--usually as sodium fluoride.

No they dont, where are you getting that information?
As stated earlier, look up reasons for putting it in water and they all say its to help fight tooth decay, but its bollox.
Records in America show that tooth decay was actually declining way before they started to fluridation so riddle me that

http://www.fluoride-jour...com/98-31-2/312103-f.htm

There is no rason for them to be puttin it in there, and when there is other studies to suggest it had been linked to bone cancer, thyroid problems aswell as fuckin up your pituatary gland, you have to wonder what they are really playing at
