It is my personal opinion that marijuana can affect a healing process depending on what psychedelic is being used, to what degree, and what strain of MJ is smoked. Any Indica will induce less anxiety and a lower head-high. On a day when I ingested 3.5g of dried liberty caps, I found myself slowly slipping into a bad experience. I smoked one joint and was a calm clam for the rest of the trip. I wouldn't call marijuana out on being possessed by an evil spirit, it does a lot of good for me now that I stopped smoking every day and kept it as frequent as my psychedelic use (which is about once every two or three months).

I cannot however pass judgement on the use of it in combination with ayahuasca, since I've never tried it, but different drugs affect different people differently, so I can only assume that it may help for one person while it does not help for another.

Come to think of it, I've always heard ayahuasca is nausea-inducing, and marijuana has anti-nauseating properties, so I think it can at least help in that regard.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

+1 for cold, hard, level-headed, scientific evaluation upon a common ground. Wink

wow i think people are missing the point of the benefits of cannabis being used solely and not to mention the differences between people.

i can honestly see why using a bit of cannabis during any interaction with DMT would not be adviseable if the user does not have previous tolerance highs of MJ.

however people who have a history of use and high tolerances who have actively enjoyed the feelings can have purposefully healing experiences with which i have encountered myself.

I would suggest any evil spirit with cannabis was a subject of your own mind from proganda and your own beliefs which for some may never change.

my own use of MJ has been very extreme tbh and I've had fantastically healing experiences from MJ alone. I would point out to anyone who smokes the odd bit of MJ may stay away from this. I have pushed myself to the limits of highs from cannabis I did not understand existed, meditation with this tool is very very very powerful.

Good post, I agree completely. I think that the point regarding any evil spirit being a creation of one's own mind (opposed as to being "inherently evil"Pleased can be further bolstered by my own experiences, when I was using marijuana heavily it progressed into me enjoying the high less and noticing effects of anxiety more frequently than before. Before that era, though, I did get quite a lot of mental help from it - I saw my grades rise, my confidence go up, I was less anxious about things when I was sober.

I don't see how any plant can be inherently evil with its highs... except maybe possibly somewhat Datura
