i heard that Pagnam Harmala and B. Cappi make good antidepressants/helps depression? i was wondering; can someone point me into the direction of finding healing information on these alone? i wanted to ask what would B. Cappi or Pagnam Harmala look Vs. Abilify and celexa?

Some of us have found them useful yes. As for a direct scientific study comparing harmalas to prescription anti depressants, well I do not believe there is one.

Depending on the severity of your depression I'd say just try it and find out. If you are in a major depression then perhaps don't follow this advice. But I sincerely believe it's better to form your own experiential opinion on these matters than trust others views or a labs results.. But yes harmaas boost brain serotonin levels and can lead to a mood lift. How that compares to Ability or Celexa is simply not known. If you try it out report back.

Peace

Many prescription medications have warnings. Many prescription medications used to treat depression / mood disorders have a big bold red warning along the lines of: DO NOT TAKE WITH AN MAOI!

P.harmala & B.caapi contain harmalas which are MAOIs. You need to use extreme caution when mixing these substances with prescription medications. DEATH could be the outcome. It really depends on the particular medications.

thanks for the much needed warning A1pha Smile i won't mix them then unless the doc says that they can be mixed with MAOI. but i might eventually get off the abilify and celexa and try the pagnam harmala and b cappi.

are there any other herbs or plants that might help with mood and such? i know damania might help but i've never tried it personally. but i think i'll wean myself off the SSRI's if they can't be mixed with an MAOI and i'll try the P. Harmala or B. Cappi.

personally the Abilify and Celexa actually work well; no terrible side effects. but i am still covering different options regardless.

Unfortunately, you should not mix Celexa / Abilify with any MAOI. Also, unfortunately, the effects of DMT are greatly reduced with these medications. Please do not start taking psychedelics until they are out of your system and please do not get them out of your system until the doctor allows it.

Yeah I second everything a1pha said.. I had assumed you were talking about replacing your prescription antidepressants with harmalas...

i might replace them and see how they work Smile i might also simply try Ayahuasca, ibogaine, or something that has deep healing properties to nip it in the bud. but of course i think it depends on how well you establish a support system for learning and healing.
