also what kind of tryptamines are there?
Generally with the oral route of administration things are slowed down.
The effects take longer to come on, build in intensity in waves over the course of time, peak at a certain point & then fade in waves (ex. Waves still occur but rather than increasing in intensity they decrease).
The effects don't change much but it may seem that way because of the scale everything happens on, with smoked, it all happens so quickly it may feel alot different.
There are plenty of tryptamine compounds you can try & experiment with until you find what dosage you like best & what compound is your favorite.
As of the ladt few years substituted tryptamines like 4-aco-dmt, 4-ho-met, 5-meo-dalt, etc. have been fairly popular in the research chemical scene.
Reading TiHkal will give you a nice list of tryptamines, an idea of their effects, dosages via different ROA's etc.
Just keep in mind not all tryptamines have the safety profile of dmt or psilocybin & some may not mix well with maoi.
If you plan to explore different tryptamine compounds use them with the same respect & care you would dmt & make sure to verify purity & identity of materials.
This can be done via reagent kits or tlc plates at home. To my knowledge, regent kits may have trouble identifying between different indole compounds & it is not particularly as helpful in the case of tryptamines as it is mdma, ketamine, etc. TLC plates are a better option & can confirm the prescense of a specific tryptamine or multiple tryptamines in a sample if you have references.
Your best bet, though, would be a lab analysis. It is a little expensive, but it is well worth knowing the stash you have is what it is supposed to be, is unadulterated, & can safely be consumed.
You still have to watch for inactive cut, labs cannot confirm if a substance is cut with sugar, salt, etc. but dosage will tell you that to some degree. If the material is active at the level it should be at the correct dosage, there is little room for inactive cut & it will be noticed fairly quickly. You do also have to take into account your body chemistry & how strongly tryptamines effect you, some people require more & some less but after enough experimentation with a pure compound you should have an idea of how strong the effects a given dosage should be for you.
