This happened to me two times. The first time it was when I smoked Changa on a shroom trip, second time when I just smoked pure DMT.

Note that I have smoked DMT multiple times, and this seems to be happening randomly rather than everytime. I notice these side effects during the DMT comedown.

First my left ear starts making these popping sounds as I move my jaw. I started feeling my teeth with my tongue, then I noticed that my teeth feel very different, especially my left molars! I don't have perfect teeth, they are filled with filling so they don't have a perfect shape. But I notice that they feel so different, as if they have been corroded. Also my left jaw feels very different, as if it is dislocated. (I can close my mouth just fine)

The first time I experienced this I was on shrooms when I smoked changa, I freaked out as I thought that I had seriously fucked up my mouth, teeth and ear. I panicked, decided to pop a xanax to relax, kill the trip and go to sleep and deal with my problems when I wake up. Before I slept I went to the dentist to check what was wrong (note that the xanax was kicking in), the dentist said everything was fine. When I woke up everything felt fine. At that time I thought It was a tactile hallucination.

Now that it has happened again, I'm worrying a bit. I keep feeling these symptoms for about 15 minutes after my DMT trip. Are they just hallucinations or is it doing something physically to my mouth? Has anyone experienced these effects?

I really love DMT as it is just amazing, I really don't want to stop DMT but I am fearing for my health!

I've had something kind of like this happen with synthetic cannibis products & some low grade brick weed on a separate occasion.
My teeth felt as if they were slowly sliding apart, spearating & getting loose. I was worried they would fall out until the next day i woke up & it was gone.

Have you washed your spice thouroughly? If it is not a tactile hallucination it may have something to do with the dmt being highly alkaline but i somehow doubt the smoke would be enough to cause problems with tissue unless some small amount of lye unintentionally came into contact with the effected area carried by the vapor with no medium to hold them back (ex. Water in a bong).

It may be just anxiety. You focus attention onto a specific feeling like breathing, tension, sore tooth, etc. & your mind makes things worse until your able to take your mind off of it & think about something else.
This may not be the case but it dpes happen to me occasionally & letting it slip my mind has always worked to relieve it. Usually it's breathing for me.

dreams about teeth falling out are linked to anxiety. the fact that the dentist saw no issues suggests it was some sort of hallucination, and the anxiety thing makes me think you're having some sort of conscious dream/hallucination.

Most definitely hallucination. What i want to know is how the hell you're able to get into a dentist and see him,in that time frame? What kind of super insurance do you have? Holy cow, i could get shot in the face and wait a month for them to take the bullet out, and your just tripping and they are all 'come in, sit down, tell me all about it'. I bet they have effective mental health treatment and no homeless too there. Laughing sorry I'm being a smart ass, but really.. .

I went to a private dentist clinic a few blocks away which costs money if you need treatment. (so I just had to wait in line since I had no appointment)
I also mentioned that I popped a xanax, so the trip was pretty much killed by that time.

Lol @ null's health care rage! Very happy

I've had a bunch of fireflies in my vision during the comedown and sort of fly across the room aimlessly and then when I thought of my jaw which has been sort of cracked for a while. the elves rushed to the scene and did something and my jaw was fixed for the coming week.

maybe ur senses are just enhanced. and ur not used to it so u flinch. try improving ur self-image on that and see if it changes. Pleased

All completely normal. Many different physical sensations can come about.

I've had ultra bizarre sensations come pre/during/post experience, all different each time.

How can you explain hearing myself talk very loud in my head from my left ear and having to move my left jaw to hear normally again? Clearly my jaw is moving....Sad

I wonder if it doesn't have something to do with the trigeminal nerve. we know that serotonergic psychedelics can be useful in cases of cluster headaches and trigeminal neuralgia, I wonder if they don't exert some side effects there as well...

At Planet DMT I also think it is hallucination in which you are shown your problems. Try different dentist maybe your teeth are not good and need attention.

This only shows US bad care about their own people. In Europe and when I come from you can go to see doctors when you need them not when they need you.

Well im no doctor, so ultimately I can't give you any definitive advice, but the fact that you say you experience it for about 15 minutes, during the comedown, either leads me to believe that this is purely a physical sensation produced within the experience, or as was said - you are becoming hyperaware of an underlying issue with your mouth.

Actually, I knew nothing of Fleming before coming across this picture. It's from this thread. Smile
