okay so everything from the cleanup op is now in fumarate form but it hasnt been washed or re-xtalized, the fumarate is mostly dry powder but it does clump if pressed - swim thinks it may be a good idea to clean it but he doesnt want to loose the majic jungle - the jungle is not an alkaloid apparently - some kinda di-terpenoid maybe ? can this kind of substance truly be in a fumarate salt form or is it clinging on like a contaminant - would swim loose it if he washes his spice with acetone ?
Swim is preddy amped to freebase it as its quite a pile so any ideas or comments would be appreciated.

see what i was thinking is that not everything in the plant has selective solubility and in this process check :
the fasw was added to the dlimo then separated and evapped - loads of nonsense gets in this way - from basic solution to dlimo to water - then evap - so its kinda crude
then if the fumarates get freebased without washing and acetone is used to pull those same non selective contaminants would be there getting pulled too.
so basically nowhere in the tek are the non selectives washed out, so the question is kinda - is jungle selective enough if it really does take fumarate form to be washed without loosing any - and is dmt fumarate really totally insoluble in acetone ?
This could be either the key to this tek working in the first place or it could be something that could be improved, idk - anyone ever seen pure jungle fumarate with no spice fumarate - as in isolated jungle via a naptha wash and used the residue after the naptha wash to convert to fumarate then wash with acetone with minimal to zero loss ?

You should be fine using acetone to wash it.

If you wanted to try & get just the "Jungle" (gotta come up with a better term for that!) element, do a classic extraction using Naptha, then do the D-Limo pulls on the "used" bark solution.
This was how I did it when I tried it with Xylene & the stuff came out very much more red colored & the effects were different.

naah im going for the mix of jungle and spice mixed in the same quantity and ratio as when present in the plant.
im trying to avoid any petrochems too.

What I meant was that Xylene & D-Limo work almost identically in these extractions, but D-Limo doesn't stink up the whole house for day's or feel like it's gonna kill you if you accidentally inhale a little.Wink

So nest time you do a normal, N,N-DMT only extraction, you could try pulling on the spent bark solution with D-Limo & get the same results as Xylene, without the predominant N,N-DMT element.

I'm planning to try this on the spent bark, next time I do my regular A/B tek to get pure, clear crystals.

This tek is beautiful Smile

Used the rest of my Xylene with many a pull to go... Turns out, I like this way much better.

ws - i dont want clear shards and i dont wana separate them at all - this junglaized spice is far superior in every way to clean spice imo.

okay not the responses swim was looking for so he says he is going to do 3 methods
one portion is to be washed with acetone
one will be converted as is
and one will be cleaned by water rextalization - pictures of everything will be taken and posted here.

just to clarify..and i may update the TEK...im thinking you could probably go WITHOUT the acetone..and just use anhydrous IPA...it would be a cleaner/more natural solvent...and it should work just fine..SWIM just hasnt tested it out..

just do the normal basifying step...3ml water..with 2 parts sodium carbonate to one part spice fumarate...DRY...and then wash with anhydrous IPA...evaporate..and voila..
it's a sound

that does sound excellent but swim doesnt have ipa - what benefit would this have over using acetone ? does it evap faster(is that even possible) ?

um well..i think it would be a bit more natural...and it may evap cleaner?

SWIM was just thinking about making the TEK as natural as possible...granted lye is very strong substance..but its not like its anywhere close to the end product...and acetone is naturalish..but i dont know

this is the fumaric acid contaminated fumarates swim was working with

it was divided into 3 piles of 580mg per pile
the first pile was freebased as is
the second pile got washed 3 times with dry acetone - here is the result - on the left is before washing - on the right is after washing - washing reduced the original pile of 580mg to 350mg

that was then freebased

both freebase missions were pulled with acetone

the results are drying - the pile that was washed is nice and hard allready - the unwashed portion is still like goo - so lesson 1 - you must do something to clean it up when its in the fumarate form.

the third pile is gonna take a bit longer as swims using water to separate it from the fumaric acid and water takes longer to evap - pix will be posted as progress is made.

here is the freebase as it is -

first the one washed with acetone when it was a fumarate

this next one wasnt washed as a fumarate

swim thinks that one is going back in the cleanup pot to become a fumarate again.

the freebase in the first pic has quickly dried out a lot more and is now about as dry as one could possibly want their freebase, the goo is still goo - as expected.
