Hello, i've long recurred to this forum seeking for information and i think it's time for me to give back to the community, so here's my first post.I've been trying to do an anahuasca for over a month now but due to personal circumstances i haven't been able to buy caapi or syrian rue online, so i had to go with passiflora, which i couldn't really work out.
After researching local plants with MAOI's, i read that tribulus was one and so i decided to go get some. This morning, over 10 grams of tribulus fruit was collected.
After looking for an extraction tek for tribulus terrestris on this forum, i cuoldn't believe ther wasn't one to be found, so i'll post my A/B extraction tek.
Materials:
-1000ml tap or distilled water
-10g Tribulus Terrestris fruit
-5% white vinegar (minimal)
-sodium bicarbonate (minimal)
-300g saltBasic info:
Tribulus Terrestris, a.k.a. puncture vine, is a weed that grows on deserty areas all over america, so it's relatively easy to find.
You can also buy it as "Bai Ji Li" in chinese herb stores.
Its fruits, thorny little seedsacks, have somewhere between .35% to 1.70% alkaloid content.
Its alkaloids are mostly Harmane and Norharmane, but also contain significant amounts of Harmalol and Harmal, so you could say it is a well MAOI-A/MAOI-B balanced plant.
I found that the harmala alkaloids in tribulus fruit have a pH of around 7.5.Procedure:
1. A) If you use tap water (pH 7.5), add 5 drops of vinegar per 500ml water.
B) If you use distilled water, 2 drops of vinegar will do.
2. Add 10g powdered tribulus fruit per 500ml acetic acid aq. solution and put on low heat for 5 minutes while stirring.
3. Let sit for one day.
4. Stir and pour through coffee filter.
5. A) Add 40mg of sodium bicarbonate to 500ml distilled water.
B) Add 20mg to tap water (pH 7.5)
6. Mix tribulus brew with sodium bicarbonate solution slowly and stirring.
7. Saturate solution with 300g of salt and put into freezer.
8. When precipitation stops forming collect crystals.This tek should provide from 35mg to 150mg per 10g of tribulus fruit.
I'm currently doing a cold water extraction on a 7.5 pH but, as soon as i collect more fruit, i'll try this tek and post back results.
