Hi,

Just like Cannabis may be a common to use when using Psychedelics,

could there be any other plants to use when on Psychedelics to help one either relax more if one is finding it difficult,or a plant to focus more.. mild but still.....

any idea?

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Tobacco is a good one. So is cacao. Both are awesome synergy with cacti and I highly recommend cacao with mushrooms at least once

For focus, try Ginkgo Bilboa in LARGE DOSES. It increases alpha waves and aids concentration.

Alternatively you could try Peppermint, Chamomile or even SALVIA

I would have thought the MAO inhibition might make a mushroom experience more intense, instead of taking the edge off.

Although apparently passion flower has morphine-like compounds in it? I read that on Bluelight, but haven't found any scientific sources backing that up.

Peganum harmala could be another option in small amounts.. nigella sativa is also good option. Those can be considered good for focus. Smaller dosage of ergine can be quite mild and pleasant with other psychedelic plants.. one may also use calea zacatechichi as a mild aid with psychedelics, as well as possibly improving your dream recall thereafter. Be creative! Thumbs up And safe exploring.

Seemed to do both with cacti, intensified it, added colour to the visuals that became visons but also made it easier to deal with. I dont think it has morphine-like compounds in it, it does have some effect on the GAABA receptors somehow, indirectly iirc..but yeah I wouldnt call it a mild additive, only at low doses.

I just put a bunch in a big tea ball and make tea, so I can't speak to the gram amounts specifically. The effect is mild but it seems to add to it, and it does also make it more relaxing at the same time which is somewhat typical with a lower dose of harmalas taken during the trip. Despite how they amplify tryptamines they are themselves very relaxing unless you take higher amounts.

Damiana = calming, meditative
Chuchuhuasi = back-straightening, heart-opening
Reishi = strengthening of energetic / personal boundaries (good with mushrooms)
Wafted burnt Syrian Rue = calming, trance-inducing

Notes ---- >

Do we know what the word polytoxic means ? Think ....... add the possible side effects of the named substances together .

Do we know the person asking the question ? Their medical history ? Possible medications ? Their alergys ?

What psychedelics ?

If you want a milder trip take less . Or in the case of mushrooms stear clear of cubensis and make a tea . That comes on faster , clearer with less physical effects .

" For focus, try Ginkgo Bilboa in LARGE DOSES. "

What are large doses ? Ginko doesnt relax it does the oposite . It wakes you up ........ and it depends on your metabolism how awake it makes you .

The reports here are subjective .

To relax learn to meditate .

Drugs do what drugs do . If you dont like what drugs do dont take them . The fear is part of the experience and comming to terms with it is a lot of what its about . Anothe BIG part is putting the body and ego in a position where they have to acept eachother and come to terms with eachother . A LOT of you humans have problems because the two are out of balance with eachother .

Ego trying to tailor a drugs effects can be dangerous .

I am autism spectum ........ please dont burn me at the stake for being honest .

It's great to be cautious, but dont throw the baby out with the bathwater ...there is such a thing as synergy you know...

"When eaten in large quantities or over a long period, especially by children[35] the gametophyte (meat) of the seed can cause poisoning by 4'-O-methylpyridoxine (MPN). MPN is heat stable and not destroyed by cooking.[35] Studies have demonstrated the convulsions caused by MPN can be prevented or terminated with pyridoxine"

"Ginkgo should be used with caution when combined with other herbs known to increase bleeding (e.g. garlic, ginseng, ginger)"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ginkgo_biloba

eating large doses of anything is not safe , even large doses of water can be lethal , even salt can turn lethal

a few substances together in appropriate doses might cause synergy , but increasing the dose of any substance to a bit above what it should be will lead to toxicity

exercise caution and sanity Thumbs up

Valerian root is great for relaxing, getting tosleep, and is slightly psychedelic.

German chamomile is very relaxing, smells good, and has synergistic effects.

Just recently tried magnoilia bark tea.. i used to many root bark cuttings,
so it was strong, but it smelled really good like the seeds, and some pine.
The tea seemed pretty relaxing, and sedating, after a small dose of 25C.

Myrrh supposedly contains terpenes that can easily be extracted w/ alcohol.

Yaupon hollies contain theobromines, and caffeine, that might synergize well.

I didn't find that it woke me up, it felt as if I could focus better but I was still very relaxed. I made a huge tea with probably 6-7 handfulls of dried leafs (maybe 10-20 grams?). Alpha waves aren't it, its about theta waves Razz

I am a fan of Leonotis (nepetifolia, leonurus etc.) and similar plants as a synergistic factor, but not for psychedelics. In my experience, these plants work quite well with cannabis.

I don't like cannabis with psychedelics. I prefer some nootropic a few hours before tripping. Plants? Capsicum (chili), tea/coffee, cola nut, tobacco and cocoa products.

I really enjoyed taking passiflora incarnata tincture before mushrooms, it was a calm and colourful experience with flowing CEV, smoking a passiflora spliff was also a very positive push. I dont think I'll ever take tryptamines again without it.
