I was in nature today fully connected to its greatness. Rivers were flowing, deeper into the nature of this area than previously explored, the small slot of sunlight in hand before two days of rain; with excellent hiking company. Along the way some mushrooms were spotted and collected. I collected a few that I'm sure I'll figure out, however one particular mushroom stood out. Upon investigating the species known for my region, I COULD NOT find this shroom. I also am slightly colourblind I admit, maybe an age thing but be that as it may when i picked this shroom its stem was orange and is now creamy orange with some white in it. The cap is greyish brown, (smells nutty?). 1.9mm cap diameter. 5cm total fruit length. stem length is 0.7mm. Any input is welcome to help identify this mushroom. Thanks!

Peace and Love.

Hi,

The dmt nexus is not really a mushroom identification forum. If it were, we'd tell you to at least cut the mushroom in half lenght-wise (straight through the stem and cap). That way, we can see the color of the gills, how the gills are attached to the cap, etc. You can also make a spore print, so that we can see the color of the spores. All that would help. Right now, it's peobaly best identified as a member of the elusive genus "LBM" (Little Brown Mushroom).

There were also these little brown genus ones like mentioned, which look pretty standard to me. i chopped one up and tried to get a clear shot.

I see no color alteration that would specify psilocybe.

Shroomery & a better camera will be pretty helpful in identifying those.

Guaranteed they are not mushrooms you want to eat though.

Def not a psilocybin. It's not really season for them. ID research is the difference between getting high and getting sick out dying a horrid death. Check out the shroomery.
It's hard to get an ID without shots that clearly show the cap, stem, and gills. Habitat is also just as important for an i.d.
