Ok so I did my second 100g extraction using Earthwalkers' tek. I messed up slightly on the cleanup steps because instead of gently rocking the bottle for 10-15min. I gently rocked for 1min. Then let it seperate x 10. Not sure why. I also took a few extra pulls from the base soup just for fun and put that in a glass in the freezer. But anyway I ended up with what appeared to be a good yield. More than my first ext. That is until my scale arrived. A disappointing .351. Still not that bummed as I am still learning plus my bark may not be of the best quality. I saved both my base soup, and the clean up soup (not sure what to call it in that stage) 2 days later I decided to go ahead and pull some more from those bottles. Took 3-50ml pulls from the cleanup bottle, and 5 from the base soup. I combined the 5 from my base soup and the glass of extra pulls I saved from the original ext. Then I put those through the clean up process. Then I put ALL of the above pulls together in one dish and let evaporate. A few decent crystals formed buy also a film all over tje dish. If you look closely this film appears to have a crystalline structure of sorts. I scraped all of this up and it had a slightly yellow tint compared to other ext. Ended up weighing in at .514! More than the original ext. I'm just wondering if this second round of pulls is safe. Doesn't seem right that I should get a better yield this time. Below is a picture of my dish with the film. I apologize for the novel but any thoughts would be appreciated and y'all have been beyond helpful thus far.

It wasn't goo though. It scraped up looking just like the fluffy crystals I usually get, except with a slightly yellow tint.

You don't mention how many pulls you made to get the 0.351, but I count 8 pulls to give you the 0.514. That could be why you got more. Also, leaving the bark sitting around in the lye for a few days could have helped free up some DMT.

I've got that same film using the EarthWalker tek. It looks like very small dmt crystals that crash out as soon as you put the pulls in the freezer with maybe a small amount of fats. I just scraped it all up together.

Oh right! I pulled 6 from the original base soup and 5 from my clean up bottle to get the .351.
Bet your right about it sitting a few days. Maybe I should start doing that. And maybe do more pulls than I have been. I hadn't seen the film before so that was my main reason for posting. Just being cautious since I'm still pretty new.

Here's the the two yields. The right is the first group of pulls. And left is the 2nd a few days later. I wonder why the color is different? Prolly doesn't matter I guess.

You could re-xtal it to clean it up a bit but you'll lose some of your weight if you do. Up to you but I really don't think it'll matter much as it isn't that off white.

The tint may be from evaporating.

I suggest you let your pulls sit at room temperature for a day or two before freeze precip.
It gives time for some small crystals to form as the solvent cools & allows for you to build on those when you freeze precip rather than quickly precipitating the spice as fine powder.
