Since my brief two years of tripping, i've had a plenty of psychedelic experiences. In these experiences, I have used them as a mechanism of understanding the depth within ones being. This journey has included many experiences, both of their ups and downs, and the abusive use of psychedelics did conjure up a heavy toll on my psyche for many months, which i attempted to resolve through, you guessed it, more psychedelic use. To say the least, i created a huge knot in my psyche, repeated psychedelic trips of an egotistical maniac manifesting his deepest and darkest desires and observing them, became my reality. My perspective, i need more psychedelics in order to get myself out of this dark head trip. It was a time of pain, anxiety, depression, and i felt like i was going to go insane with frustration, "poor me" i would say, "why do i have to keep having these repeated trips!!?", "why is the world against me". Funnily enough, this accusation against myself, playing the game of the victim, which can be so easily done, was what was creating this continuous experience of darkness.

So i wrote on these forums, asking for help, asking why this kept happening, and continuing the game of using psychedelics to try and understand this head trip. Then a very wise person posed me somewhat of a zen koan - "You ask why me, i ask why not" - this, opened up the dimension of a new paradigm. You see, my perspective, my intention, whatever you want to call it, was ultimately the victim. But, when i began to ask the question "why not me" i had a very strange response, suddenly, i began to realise, that this poor little me, this focus on the I, was exactly the problem. Removing the focus on I, and moving it toward something such as the breath, the sounds, the sensations, would bring me into a new dimensional, healthier way of thinking/being. So it began to dawn on me, that this reality, where i focus and what i focus on, begins to manifest and, when a person ingests a substance, this can be seen directly.

For me, psychedelic use enables an individual to visually see into their psyche. The psyche contains the connotations of I (as ego) and I AM (That which is beyond ego), as well as everything in-between, ultimately it contains the yang and the yin. It is as if the individual goes on a journey into their mind/body/spirit which contains their consciousness, and can begin to see their thoughts, feelings and sensations manifesting in this reality and beyond. For example, if you see hatred in your mind, and you attach to that hatred, and you start to send out hatred. You say "I hate you", "i hate that tree", "why do i hate myself" you begin to manifest hatred in the reality surrounding you. Soon, you will begin seeing angry faces in trees, a chair which has turned into a mutated genital, hear screaming, see inter-dimensional beings of the "lower worlds" such as angry, mutated physical forms.. all through repeating and continuing to attach to the connotation of hatred. So through this attachment, you manifest hatred, or anger, or fear… whatever it may be, your perspective is manifesting and creating your reality, and ultimately psychedelics allow you to see this on a more sense based level. You can still see this in your non-induced reality, however, the psychedelic plane amplifies your senses, and therefore you can see it on a much more physical tangent, you become what you manifest.

I have a friend and he believes in being able to communicate with inter-dimensional beings (you know, plaedians, mantis beings, Zetas' etc). Funnily enough, i take him on a mushroom trip and what does he experience? He sees a planet, and starts communicating with the beings on this planet through his psyche. One cannot say that his reality is "correct" or "incorrect" for he is experiencing and manifesting his reality, however he pleases, and that is his choice. I have experienced something similar, as, when i first met this man, i'd smoked DMT and spoken and experienced inter-dimensional mantis beings, showing me how to heal myself through energy and showing me the core of my being. I'm not going to say this is real or not real, and that there are not these beings experiencing this inter-dimensional reality and have the power to communicate with us, but i do believe there is something deeper than these realities which as you go deeper and deeper into your being, are only on the surface level.

For me personally, i have a strongly influenced buddhist/zen/tantra perspective, however, i've played with this perspective to suit it to my environment and my own personal being. I believe, that there are gods, there are other realities, there are other beings and we can even connect and communicate with them, HOWEVER, there is something which is beyond this separation of environment, there is something which we cannot explain, and the deeper we go into it, the more we realise this reality is imbued with infinite possibilities and all are correct. When we are present to reality, to what IS, not what our minds are manifesting, you will begin to discover the core, the essence, of everything, of the plants, of the people around you, of your mind, of your body, of the inter-dimensional beings you are communicating with as you trip on DMT… you begin to realise how deep and how beautiful and spontaneous, reality is. But here's the irony, all that I'm saying, could be classified as perspective, as i type these words, they are influenced by my experiences, by my intelligence and by my own knowledge, however, although we are the creators of our reality, there does seem to be something beyond perception. We call this god, consciousness, shiva… in Eastern philosophy they have a word for this - Tathata - meaning ten thousand things, one suchness. Let us learn to experience this suchness, let us enter its dimension and let go of our manifestation of desire for sex and money and power. Let us transcend these interconnected dimensions, transcend the duality, into that one suchness, that nothingness which contains everything… for then, we shall experience truly what is. I know perspective creates our reality, and i know my words do not justify the reality, but lets begin to look deeply into what IS, right here right now, that may include our thoughts, judgements, emotions, but remember, it also includes the sounds, sensation, and the space between them.

I leave you with this quote, for there is something beyond perception which we can all experience. "The journey up the mountain has many paths, but the view of the moon is the same."
