Hello one and al!

this turtle hails from the land of australia. I thought it was about time to sign on and introduce myself, given the amount of fantastic info I have found on the nexus. I will give some brief background on myself and my intentions

I have been a keen proponent of natural psychedelics (mushrooms, peyote, pot etc.) as a means of achieving personal growth and building better relationships. As was inevitable DMT made its way onto my radar some time ago and while I agree there is absolutely something more to whats on the other side of the door than we fully understand, the skeptical realist (and athiest) in me always seems to question the mystical side to dmt, despite having some incredibly amazing and positive trips in the past.

I find all this talk of entheogens very interesting, as I don't generally feel a spiritual element to my trips (oneness with others and the land yes, intense introspection yes, communication with god, no) nor have I added a large amount of ceremony to past trips. This is not to say I don't fully and completely respect the many varied and wonderful substances we humans have discovered. I just tend to look at them as "medicines" not "sacraments".

I hope a level of caution and respect towards things is seen and appreciated by folk here on the nexus, and that not immediately jumping on the "talking with god" bandwagon does not put me at odds with you fine folk.

Anyway I also wanted to say that I am a little worried about the mainstream discussion of dmt/aya at the moment. its everywhere and its bad enough that kids think shrooms and pot are a thing worthy of a teens party, dmt is in a whole other league. would hate to see acrb and the like get clamped down on like salvia and to some extent mhrb.

ohh and can I keep the little pot plant below my name if promoted, its cute Razz

STS is a community for people interested in growing, preserving and researching botanical species, particularly those with remarkable therapeutic and/or psychoactive properties.

Posting your TEKs and discussing them in the welcome area might bring you closer to a full membership. All members (also the most knowledgeable ones) have access to this area.

Great to see another Australian based memeber. Keep in touch and looking forward to chatting more about your teks.
