Hi, I just like to say hi. I'm here cause I have a interest in psychedelic substances
(mainly DMT,LSD, and shrooms/Psilocybin). My experience in such is fairly limited atm though. Sadly the most powerful experience I've had thus far, is just from overdosing on weed edibles, and it was not very pleasant or that profound. I was surprised of getting the reaction, to say the least, as that was not what i was going for. I was just trying to get high before watching some anime and TV shows on Netflix.
I did have a fluke DMT experience with the sandwich method, that didn't really do much, because i didn't know how to work a pipe well
(burned all of it
), nor were my lungs that used to smoking in general.
My interest in psychedelic substances, is because of some fundamental drive to seek adventure and not only adventure but to seek self understanding. As I see many such substances as a means to that end, of self understanding.
As the saying goes, "Reality is only a matter of perception." But most of the time we humans live though life with only one perception, or we observe it though only one lens. When people describe the experiences of their lives, be it like losing a friend, or climbing Mount Everest. Even though you may not share that experience you can roughly empathize or understand it to some extent, because it's still a situation you can picture yourself in, because it's a experience though the same perception or lens you normally view the world with.
But, when someone has a experience with psychedelic substances, like DMT or what have you. The experience isn't as communicable and can only be described by vague metaphors. These experiences aren't as communicable because they don't involve experiences with that same perception, since the substance is literally "mind altering".
The best comparison would be like trying to explain color to a blind person. I consider the experience of psychedelics to be comparable to gaining a new sense you never had or experienced like hearing for the first time or something.
That's why I personally seek psychedelic experiences, cause it's literally the greatest adventure. The adventure for the feeling of being able to see for the first time, or gaining a new sense or lens to view the world.
