Hi everyone, this is my first post. Generally I'm not very vocal in online forums, but I've found something special with this whole experience and have felt a connection to the community in the Nexus here.

My interest in DMT started more than two years ago by watching a documentary after which I almost immediately came into possession of 100g of ACRB. I ended up sitting on it and ultimately forgetting about it until about a month ago. A series of "coincidences" led me to finally deciding to do an extraction. For weeks I researched extractions and experiences and everything to do with DMT, almost exclusively from the Nexus. The community here is so inviting and knowledgable and the experiences so broad, I had no problem finding out the answers to all of the questions I had along the way without asking a single question.

Long story short, after my extraction I ended up with about 800mg of spice. It is a very potent combination of goo and crystal that I ended up bunching all together. My first experience with it has started a change in my girlfriend and I's life. All very positive! It was done with a bottle and tin foil bottom, which was fine for me, but proved far too harsh for my girlfriend. So I decided to splurge on a GVG.

I have a few concerns with the GVG. First being, I'm very particular about the doses I'm receiving and want to be able to control as much as I can with the dose. The problem I'm finding with the GVG is it's hard to determine how much of the spice was vaporized as every time I've used it theres residue left over. That would leave me to believe the whole dose wasn't vaporized. Is it common for residue to remain after use? I'm afraid that I'm not getting the exact proportioned dose and additionally that the residue may still be active and will result in more of a dose than anticipated in subsequent attempts.

I haven't broken through yet, but almost have, unintentionally (which caused considerable discomfort), based on my seeming inability to get the proper dosage with the GVG.

My method for using the GVG has been putting 7 screens down and on top of that a copper mesh disk. There certainly isn't an issue with it not vaporizing. So could it be plant oils left over that don't vaporize? When I used the bottle and tinfoil, everything was gone.

Does anyone else have these issues with the GVG or share any of these concerns?

It is a matter of right technique and proper dosing.

You have not motioned any of that. How do you measure your dose ? What is your smoking technique ?

Speaking from my experience I make sure nothing is left in my GVG before another use.It is normal that there is some residue left after use.

I always wight my dose on .001mg scale. Make sure you don't burn your spice as it will be too harsh to smoke even with GVG. I only use cooper mesh no screen necessary. I melt spice into the cooper mesh before vaporizing.
