all usual disclaimers, kids dont try this @ home.



first pic, albinos " v tek style"

for this project,
we use butane stove , a PC / AA ,
along with a SAB and a torch.

annie always uses LED lights 100%
i use 450 NM blue for pinning, and 680 nm red to inhibit pins.

we also use plastics, PP5 and polycarbonate culture bottles.
there are many sizes and variants.

we use grass seed, or WBR , sometimes in a mix for a sub
we add 10-10-10 ferts to the hydration water.

agar is made with 10-10-10 fert water and BRF .

plastic contianers are then filled with agar OR WBR/RGS sub
and PC'ed for 30 minits.

start from spores, or clones on agar. your choice.
we use a variety of tools and glass syringes.
we love torches and screw drivers.

SAB and whole room air filtration helps on transfers.

grow out on fert agar is fast
and very rhizo.
pins and full fruits are common.

grow out on fert WBR/RGS is fast and dense in PP5 containers
from innoc to pin about 21 days ( clone slurry liguid innoc)

can be cased or not depending on environmentals.
we mist and bottom water as needed.

we fruit under 100% 450 nm blue LED.
temp 82 degrees. moderate air exchange 2x daily.

violet tek or its mods,
works on all cubes tested,
plus , jalisco mexicana ,galindoi, and chicon nindo mexicana.

* notes:

when we started growing in the late 1970's,
there wasnt an internet or forums.
all we had is the dreaded " books"
"oss and oeric" was the best at the time.

until the early 80s, when stamets MC was published,
we grew mostly straight 'oss and oeric style"
its a great original tek classic, but it did have issues.

as time went on , and modern equip became more common,
we adapted the method to use plastics , LED, and grain options / ferts.

plastics are used cuz they PC faster,
are stackable for storage, they break less,
and are " silent" ( important to scale).
also the safety value of plastic over glass is apparent.

LED lights , are low energy, and can be spectra specific.
heat value , and IR are negligible, obviously a plus.
it also reduces mercury contam levels from broken tube lights.

grain options allow for more options, and more potential power fruits.
we believe fert additives add to the grow rate in general.

the tek works to scale on several species , and many strains.
one simply adds more plastic and FC's , and produces cups assembly line style.

environmentals vary location to location.
this tek has worked well in many areas where attempted.


some have suggested LED light is not optimum.
i think that has been debunked for fungi.
IMO , i suspect they prefer LED.

those who object to plastic containers,
should note that a large portion of the modern food industry uses plastics routinely.
modern labs commonly use plastic for research projects with all types of bio forms.
plastic, also PC's way faster than glass.

grains have been shown to deliver a zesty fruit.
IMO exceeding bulk subs by margins.

fert additives, we strongly suspect adds to the grow out speed and rhizo.


we always use a PC for this type of work.
we run LED lights for only minits a day.
we do have whole room HEPA.
we do NOT use UV
we do not use humdifiers, or any automation.
we do not use perle or verm.

for casing, we use pasturized potting soil.

we RARELY see trich using these methods.
our contam rate is maybe 5% at most.


point of the tek is stealth, minimal parts, energy, materials, max speed and power.
this tek gives the urban grower, distinct advantages indeed............

for those concerned with size, and yield and BE.........
dont be , this tek competes quite well.

this group of albinos , is an MS group.

clones are somewhat more dynamic.

Those are pretty.... Looks like a good isolate.

all shown are raw un-isolated multispore.
were saving the clone pics for another more advanced thread..........

I'd really love to have my golden teachers come out as lush as your albinos. I think I may utilize some of your methods :}

i always wonder why peeps arent into the violet tek.

its a 1 ft ruler.

when one gets a 2 pan harvest, from a 6 cup project.
one must wonder why bulkers are into bulks.

total sub on this one is about 6 cups WBR.
we dont joke on BE.

once again, this is MS , not clones....................

for those who suggest this tek produces small specimens......

of course, ill take reasonable questions at this point.

Hey anne, sorry if I missed this somewhere, but can you go into a bit more depth re: nutrient supplemented WBS? I seem to recall you making mention of soaking them in miraclegro or something similar in the chat, but I can't recall the amounts or procedure.

I would also like to know how exactly you are using fertilizers.
