Jed McKenna - The Enlightenment Trilogy. 3 books.

Read the trilogy last year and just completed his last book The Theory of Everything.

No nonsense and straight to the point. Worth a read.

Hyperspace - Michio kaku I really like this guy the way he explains things and also his outlook on existence/reality/spirituality resonates with me and I'm sure it may with many others on here.Although the physics may well be out dated now..
His book Parrallel Worlds is also very good (and a great deal cheaper!)
His recent one The Future of The Mind looks interesting also.

"The History of the American Indians" by James Adair

Published 1775 by Edward and Charlrs Dilly, London

James Adair 1709-1783, was a trader among the southeast Indians for 40 or so years before the revolution. He married a Chickasaw woman and had children.

This book is the authoritative text on the southeast Indians at the time of contact. I havnt made it through it all, but it contains many insights I to Native American life, language, medicine, religion and customs. At the time many white people were advocating wholesale genocide of the Indians. Adair respected them, it comes through in his writing.

He also had a theory which may sound crazy today, that the Indians descended from the Israelites. Of course he didn't have advanced science at his disposal. He based his theory on they're language, religion, amoung other things, and defends it eligently in the book. In fact I believe there's at least one eastern tribe which still believes this.

I like how he has a book titled hyperspace but besides that I can't get on board with Michio kaku at all after he slandered psychedelics, called them highly addictive, and basically explained them as if they are the equivalent of cocaine in an interview with Matt staggs.

Agreed. He said the same slanderous things about mushrooms when Joe Rogan interviewed him, basically writing them off as useless. I can't get into the work of anyone so closed-minded, especially for someone claiming to be a scientist with a curious mind.
Fear, belief, love phenomena that determined the course of our lives. These forces begin long before we are born and continue after we perish. We cross and recross our old paths like figure skaters; our lives are not our own. From womb to tomb, we are bound to others. Past and present. And by each crime and every kindness, we birth our future.

Heres one written by a more enlightened scientist. "The Antipodes of the Mind, the phenomenology of the ayahuasca experience," by Benny Shanon. PDF copy:

I really enjoyed reading the pdf version of James W Jesso's "Decomposing the Shadow".
A great, personal and modern-day testament to the healing power of mushrooms.

I had to order the paperback version for my bookshelf, and ended up making a pretty nice haul while browsing. Some classics that were still missing from my library, probably not much new to most Nexians. Still, very excited to receive all of these soon Thumbs up

Decomposing The Shadow: Lessons from the Psilocybin Mushroom (James W. Jesso)
Acid Dreams: The Complete Social History of LSD: The CIA, the Sixties, and Beyond (Martin A. Lee, Bruce Shlain)
Inner Paths to Outer Space: Journeys to Alien Worlds through Psychedelics and Other Spiritual Technologies (Rick Strassman, Slawek Wojtowicz, Luis Eduardo Luna, Ede Frecska)
Magic Mushroom Explorer: Psilocybin and the Awakening Earth (Simon G. Powell)
Psilocybin: Magic Mushroom Grower's Guide (Oss & Oeric)
The Private Sea: LSD and the Search for God (William Braden)

Plant Intelligence and the Imaginal Realm: Beyond the Doors of Perception into the Dreaming of Earth Paperback – May 3, 2014

http://www.amazon.com/Pl...=UTF8&qid=1429292652

And guess what? I learned from reading the book (he says), that he Earth gets high, the earth (ecosystem) uses cannabis for pain relief..

so go on plant some poppies to help heal your garden.

and think about it, where do poppys (most potent pain killer on earth) grow?, they grow in wastelands,etc...

my plan is to buy a load of poppy seeds,St. Johnʼs wort seeds, and Valerian... then go around the area planting them where ever needs be... it would be super fun Pleased

For some light but thought provoking reading.

Frank Herbert - Destination: Void (surprisingly intense)
Herman Hesse - Demian

So I read this book, it really resonated with me quite deeply. It may be fiction but it's full of truth. A lot of things I've learned from the plants, I read in the book. I've also had experiences in life lately which are quite similar to the boy, it was uncanny for me to read this. So who's read it? How did it resonate with you? Has anyone experienced love without ownership?

If anyone hasn't read it, here's a free copy http://www.shipk12.org/w...elho_-_The_Alchemist.pdf

Btw, everyone always asks, what is hyperspace? I think I'll just call it the soul of the world from now on.
