Hello everyone,

I have a nice psychotria, and I hope you all can give me some opinions on which variety it is to hopefully come to some consensus. It will be perfect for propagation this spring, but I don't want to share a plant as one species if it is something else.

Now, I'm aware of some of the differences between alba and viridis, and what I see is consistent with viridis. In fact, I went out to look at this one and my viridis to see the differences first hand after reading a thread on ID differences, which is when I began to question to species.

Leaves extend down the petiole to the point of attachment... check.
Veins in leaves are quite acute in angle... check.
Slow grower, similar to confirmed viridis... check.

Thing is, it was purchased as an alba, and we all know I would be the first person in history to buy and alba and get a viridis. Razz

Thanks in advance for your help!

And folveolae too. Yup, you have yourself a viridis there Continuum.

Seeing as ordering a viridis but getting an alba seems to be a universal constant we may be experiencing a disturbance of the space-time continuum...Surprised
I already asked Alice.

Well done sir. My Viridis [haha] is almost certainly a Carth. You my friend, are a lucky chap, look after her and she will reward you.

Peace

Thanks Macre. I've had my eye out for a carth, if you're up for a leaf exchange. PM me if you're interested and we can sort it out.

(P.S.- I'd be a lucky lass Wink )

edit: Just occurred to me your's might not be mature enough to send a leaf yet. If not, hit me up any way... happy to share the good fortune...
