A common element in many of these "DMT lab" media stories is that of the "chemicals that have the potential for explosion and or fire" and what a terrible threat this makes to the neighborhood.

Imagine the possible disaster scenario when a few fluid ounces of lighter fuel catches fire and escapes the dreaded "DMT lab", to set off a chain reaction, causing to explode some of the motorized bombs that the neighbors keep parked on their driveway.

Don't even think about the gas station around the corner... Those terrified neighbors probably never spilled any "chemicals that have the potential for explosion and or fire" while refueling their car, ever. Or if they did, it just doesn't matter, because the media doesn't print any scare stories about it.

Surely at least some journalists must understand this. Yet why do they write this drivel? It's an insult to society.

I liked whoever was blasting the journalist in the comment section, nice to see it. Problem is most of the sugar induced zombies of society eat that stuff up while mindlessly staring at the boob tube.

Man it makes me angry how the media has to spin things like this. They also love comparing things like DMT to meth and heroin. People eat it up too. I wonder if that Sandra lady was a real person "OMG I'm so scared I cant breathe!". But if someone next door was making home brew whiskey or whatever she wouldn't bat her little eyes. Even though alcohol is like a bajillion times more dangerous and toxic than most illegal drugs.. I give up..Confused

I like how every comment is in support of DMT =)

These stories are always quick to mention that DMT is injected, but do people actually do this?
I mean I'm sure there are people who have, but I haven't seen or heard of anyone doing it outside of the study done by Strassman.
I think reporters just like to have that in there to make it sound a certain way.

So true bro, they also always like to say it's smoked out of a meth pipe. They love comparing things to meth.

I hate the way the residents of the street carry on... 'oh its terrifying; it was so close to home'. It affected them in no way at all and yet they jump on the band wagon as soon as TV crews turn up.

As disheartening as the journalism is, the comments certainly brought a good bit of faith in society back. People are buying less and less into media malarkey and doing their own research before taking a stance (although a cursory review of the US's current media and politics could easily lead one to think otherwise).

Those strong supporting comments were by DMT nexus members. I do believe some of society is wising up to these things, but I bet most of them don't look at their local news online. If the articles weren't posted here and challenged by members here, the comments would probably be more ugly. So if those comments inspired you guys, remember, YOU can be the inspiration. Very sad as usual, but expected from scum like Fox News.

"So what is DMT? It’s commonly known on the street as Fantasian or Businessman’s LSD."

Has anyone else never heard it called "fantasian"? And who really still calls it the businessman's LSD?

<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"

Imagine how bad this is going to look years from now when the old stigmas of psychedelics are dead.

The ignorance is sad, but the younger generation seems to have a better understanding than the garbage that's coming up in that news report.

Waukegan police were called to the apartment at 11 a.m. Tuesday to meet with the complex manager, who attempting an eviction. The manager told police he entered the unit and noticed numerous chemicals inside, authorities said.

Officers described the scene as a "lab" and contacted the department's Gang Intelligence Unit for assistance. The apartment complex was evacuated for about 12 hours while the Illinois State Police controlled the scene.

Police said the drug lab was processing illegal narcotics -- specifically for the manufacture of dimethyltryptamine, also known as the hallucinogen DMT.

Another way to drag attention toward yourself: get in trouble with your landlord/complex manager.
