Hello my name is Tim, and I guess this is my introduction essay.
I don't really know what im supposed to do here, so sorry if its wrong, I don't know why anyone would care to read about me, but I will write anyway.

I have always been interested in philosophy, psychology, and spirituality (without religion). First out of this interest I got very interested in hypnosis, next I got interested in lucid dreaming, and taught myself to do it occasionally. And next I got interested in psychedelics.

I haven't done any psychedelics (other than weed if you count that) yet, but I am thinking of doing DMT as my first. I know this is highly not recommended, but I would make change and only do a very small amount to start with. That way it is only short lasting, and a mate of mine said it is like doing some shrooms at low doses. Also ages ago I researched it heaps so I know all about it and extracting it, so I shouldn't have any problems.

I also love maths, programming, all board sports, slacklining, and reading. I love reading and listening to Alan Watts, Terence McKenna, Ram Dass, Aldous Huxley, and all of those kind. And I am starting computer science next year at university.

One more thing is that I love the community that the nexus has created, no doubt a large part of this is from not allowing people to become members straight away. This keeps out the people that just want to get high, and keeps it more intellectual.
However I do not understand why the people here are against videos showing how to extract DMT. The way I see it is that it is a lot of effort either way, wether they read it or watch a video. One has to be committed to get through an extraction. But I will go and read peoples reasons for this now, as I am very interested.

thanks and sorry for boring you with my life story

Hey Tim, how's things mate? A fellow Aussie I seeSmile.
There's no reason why DMT shouldn't be your first psychedelic, if anything it's better due to its short lasting effects. If you don't like what's happening then at least it will be over soon. Although I would definitely recommend starting low and working your way up dosage wise. A breakthrough experience straight away could definitely be too much IMO.

On the whole video extraction thing, it does actually bother me a bit. I don't know other peoples opinions on the matter but YouTube is full of all the wrong kind of people. It only takes a few stupid people to really ruin it for everyone else.

Anyways might see you around bro,

Peace

Psychedelics are illegal because they dissolve opinion structures and culturally laid down models of behaviour and information processing. They open you up to the possibility that everything you know is wrong.”

Hey man, greetings from a fellow newbie Pleased

I agree with TwennyBux, don't be afraid to go for DMT.

I only tried some low dosed mushrooms before and have had really good experiences with DMT.

Read my intro here with a report of my first 3 trips, this will be useful for starters:
