bullsh..

when's the last time you've been here? ...

lol
this texan doesn't have a small brain, and prefers microbrew over watered-down rat piss. I actually prefer
a mescaline margarita over that.
I don't own a pair of boots, and have never been to a rodeo. I don't own a truck, I don't even
like trucks, nor country music.
nice generalizations, though. not all of us are bible-thumping/skoal dipping hicks.

heh... funny post thx. having lived in dallas, houston and austin before I would guess you are from austin? Smile

while the stereotypes are certainly not all true in austin and big cities in texas, when I visit small texas towns, it feels like every stereotype is 100% true. But that may hold true for many/most states.

indeed, i observe the same.

originally from san antonio, moved all over the us, and settled down in the austin area.
the only thing i hate about this state are the draconian laws and small-town mentalities.

Not always true. There's some pretty open minded small towns in central Texas. Especially in the hill country. I lived in one small town where more than one person had cannibis growing in their front garden with no problem at all. Perhaps that's why Hollywood has taken the town over.

Anyway I'd have thought that a shaman wouldn't have much problem in TX, since TX frowns on regulation of any kind. I've lived in Houston and Austin and in the head shops there, one could find way more goodies than in a head shop in my city. Sometimes Texas defies stereotypes. Louisiana is way more closed minded, except for New Orleans that is.

north, east and west tx have transplants from the southern states, who're largely intolerant, hypocritical bible-thumpers, generally speaking...for those types, there is only one true religion, and one god; practicing anything else would be considered sacreligious.

but yeah, central tx is where it's @...from fredericksburg to austin...the area is beautiful, the air and water are clean.
more open-minded here than much of tx.

This is completely absurd.

What's more disturbing is that the majority of the population is so oblivious and uneducated, that they will also see it as simply "intent to distribute a schedule 1 drug" and group him with drug dealers and true criminals.

We need to work towards educating the masses about the role of psychedelics, especially Ayahuasca, in the healing process for physical, and psychological illness.

It's sad that we are so misunderstood and viewed no different than criminals and druggies.

Fear not, with a little determination and hard work, this will all be changed in time!

We are evolving and perfection doesn't exist on Earth.
We must constantly work to better ourselves and the world around us.

God bless this poor man and his family, as he is a victim of an unenlightened, corrupt, and greedy "justice" system.

I grew up in north tx and being Hispanic, I can say it was a very racist and bible thumping area.

Dallas isn't so bad. Wish I could afford to move my family to Austin. Hey benzyme, have you ever checked out garden of the ancients?

I have not. where is it?

I'm also hispanic, but have had family in tx since early statehood, perhaps earlier. Racist hypocrites couldn't tell me to go back where I came from, I'm already here.

Just north of Austin, Manor I think it is. Very large sustainable cacti farm. They also grow caapi and chacruna but didn't have cutting when I visited a few years back. I've been meaning to drive out there again , some rodent ate my bridgessii Sad
