At x height tall how many Mimosa Hostilis mature seeds should I plant within a 20 ft x 13 ft garden to maximize production?

You should Plant x mimosas Very happy
'"ALAS,"said the mouse, "the world is growing smaller every day. At the
beginning it was so big that I was afraid, I kept running and running, and I was glad
when at last I saw walls far away to the right and left, but these long walls have
narrowed so quickly that I am in the last chamber already, and there in the corner
stands the trap that I must run into." "You only need to change your direction," said
the cat, and ate it up.' --Franz Kafka

May I rephrase with precise measurements including the height? The height should be important because as the seedling grows taller it will spread out, therefore if there is a limit to how tall I allow the seedling to grow, x seedlings adds y more seedlings. I will get the measurement for anyone with precise information because I wasn't able to when I posted this.

20 ft wide x 13 ft tall x 8 3/4 ft high = x mature seedlings? What is x?

So, are you asking what is the optimized space for MH? Including growth to adulthood?

I assume that mature seedlings are grown to adulthood until the seedling becomes too difficult to harvest. I will grow the seedling until it reaches 8 3/4 ft in height and require advice as to how tall a mature seedling will become in the minimum amount of time required to harvest the root bark, which if is 8 3/4 ft tall or shorter will become a meaningless question, while if the mature seedling grown to adulthood becomes taller than 8 3/4 ft within the time frame then I may have a problem. Advice? Will my expectations reach fruition? I will ask to much joy how many seedlings can mature within my setting? So I ask if the setting is 20 ft x 13 ft x 8 ft, then how many seedlings should I mature there? Or as I asked someone with experience, is it not possible to reach full adulthood in my setting?

I get the impression you really don't understand math, plants, or maybe just English. But I'll try to answer as I understand it. There isn't really a correct answer though, as it depends on many more variables than just the size of your garden. Plant genetics, soil, nutrients, environment, etc. will all determine how fast and large the plants grow. You seem very concerned with amount of space, but I think that should be the least of your concerns.

Six months ago I started a few mimosas in pots indoors. The largest is 4 feet tall now. The roots are still the size of threads, though. It will be a few years still before I expect to harvest anything, so they'll probably be much taller than 8 feet by then. I plan to prune them to keep them short enough to stay indoors, though. Outside, they grow even faster and larger; adults can be 30ft high! So in the span of 2-3 years, you could easily fill that 20x13x8 foot space with even just 2-4 adult plants. But I doubt it's an exact science... you may be able to fit twice that many. You could prune them to fit your size requirements. I've even seen bonsai mimosas.

My real advice though is to just start a few seeds and not worry about all those expectations. You'll fall in love with the plant and not be so anxious to calculate your harvest. You've got a loooong time to figure out the dimensions of your garden.

I completely agree with this. In any garden, you start out with seedlings and plant an over abundant amount, eventually pruning some back as they get bigger. Every plant grows differently and take up different amounts of space as they age.

Trees need space. I will say that.

Since you've had so long to figure all this out, where is your book? The one titled "To calculate your harvest?"

No I am not.

"they grow even faster and larger"

I am familiar with them.

Am I speaking to someone with more mature perspectives about roots?

I have 2 mimosa in my yard. My plan is to let them bloom and set seed before I harvest, which hopefully will be this spring. As far as space, they're growing about 15 feet from each other and seem quite happy. Hope this helps.

I started 6 this year and 4 survived. They are still so extremely small (3inches!!)I wonder if the well known and trusted vendor sent the right seeds or not. The surviving crew has survived two traumas involving a squirrel and a rat where they were all de-potted. On finding them I scooped the babies up and lovingly re-potted them. I live in FDA zone 8 climate so they are inside now in a window supplemented by 5600K lights. I have gone as far as to cover the pots with Chicken wire so nothing can rip them out.

I may seek out some Bundleflower because I can just let it go outside all year.
Marijuana, LSD, psilocybin, and DMT they all changed the way I see
But love's the only thing that ever saved my life - Sturgill Simpson "Turtles all the Way Down"

Why am I here?

Do you have them inside seasonally or why else would you prepare chicken wire if they were to stay inside?

Do they have thorns that resemble rose bush thorns? They should also have reddish hairy structures on the small stems. Perhaps your soil lacks the fungal symbiot the roots require, this could lead to slow growth. Btw I have one which is a year old and 2 inches tall so that does happen.

The alternative to chicken wire are thorns.
