Hello everyone. I am just curious if any of you have either used or heard of somebody using a sonicator for making cannabis extract. I am thinking of experimenting since a friend of mine is growing and has lots of trim to play with. Is this possible? Would there be any benefit over other extraction methods? Thanks, hostilis 3... 2... 1... BLAST OFF!!!!FFO TSALB ...1 ...2 ...3 My grafting guide

Also, this being geared towards those of you that have and use sonicators, what process would you perform when attempting a sonicator cannabis extract? 3... 2... 1... BLAST OFF!!!!FFO TSALB ...1 ...2 ...3 My grafting guide

Not familiar with a sonicator, could you post any pix or info? Does it use a solvent plus heavy vibration to get all the goodies out of cannabis? Let us declare nature to be legitimate. sonicatorthere's no significant advantage, because the actives are on the outside of cell walls. a simple solvent soak extracts all the goods. it may help dislodge any stubborn trichomes, but cell disruption dumps chlorophyll and lignin into the solvent "Nothing is true, everything is permitted." ~ hassan i sabbah "Experiments are the only means of attaining knowledge at our disposal. Thanks benzyme. I think I'll stick to ice cold 96% ethanol extraction. Let us declare nature to be legitimate. All plants should be declared legal, and all animals for that matter. The notion of illegal plants and animals is obnoxious and ridiculous. — Terence McKenna

Although I just read some articles about some places using sonicators (or CO2) for extractions when attempting to separate terpenoids from cannabinoids. I may try it just to see what happens. Would I just have to sonicate in ethanol or something? Or would sonicating in water work? 3... 2... 1... BLAST OFF!!!!FFO TSALB ...1 ...2 ...3 My grafting guide
