Hi All! I am just days away from my first ACRB extraction using this tek.... https://www.dmt-nexus.me...aspx?g=posts&t=58064

My only problem is finding the right vessel to mix my soup in. In the Tek it calls for a 2 liter bottle, I was hoping to find a glass 2 liter bottle but have not had any luck. The best i can find is 1.75 liter or 3 liter (wine bottle). 2 liter pop/soft drink bottles are easy to find eg coke bottle but im not sure if they will be safe to use?

So i'm looking to find out if a coke bottle would work? (im guessing it wont)

Or if the amounts in the mentioned tek can be altered to suite a 1.75 or 3 liter bottle.

Thanks
Cool

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Idk much about kitchen alternatives for an extraction vessel, I think I saw earthwalker mention something in the past. Maybe he'll have some insight. What comes to mind is simply a 2l erlenmeyer flask. These have the advantage of allowing you to heat them directly, and being able to withstand the thermal shock of adding lye. That by itself is very exothermic.

Good luck with your extraction friend!

Just get 2 x 1ltr bottles and split the extraction in 2...it's as simple as that.

Hi , you don't even really need a 2ltr bottle you could get away with 1.5 ltr or anywhere in between ,, if you do go with a smaller bottle ie 1.5ltr just use less water when mixing the saline solution , or as cyb said just go with a 50g extraction with cybs tek https://wiki.dmt-nexus.m...ybrid_ATB_%27Salt%27_Tek just include the mini AB at the end .

For a 50g extraction I use a 1 liter vessel, and it's only ever half full. you should be plenty good.

I use a 1000ml flat bottom boiling flask with a short neck & a glass stopper.
You can do the entire extraction in it & no plastic, rubber, or metal on the lid.
I up the amount of bark to 65g & use 1000ml water, 65g lye, & 50ml solvent per pull.
If you have a nice glass pipette or syringe that can reach down the neck it works perfectly.
Fairly cheap as well Smile

Thanks for all the helpful info guys, much appreciated. I think I will use a 1.5liter bottle as earthwalker suggested...Wine comes in 1.5 liter bottle so that way i can enjoy the wine before using the bottle Big grin

I just used a 750ml bottle for 100 grams of Acacia, you'll be fine with a smaller bottle. Yield was 1.3%, going to try for more in a bit

Maybe not all in one go, immediately before the extraction attempt Very happy

“There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."

I got a few glass giant pickle jars from the recycling at a restaurant tested them by slowly heating in a crockpot to see if they stress cracked first. I also have a flask with a long neck that makes pulling easier and faster. Wider jars are more difficult IMO but you can work with more material. I'd almost rather pull a bigger batch but purely because of my time budget.

That is, a fantastic deal on those bottles! I usually pay about that much apiece >.<
