Hi. Today I'm starting another batch of acacia tea. As my last batch was no where near strong enough I decided to boil several doses at once. I'm starting with 50 grams ACRB in water that has PH raised via lemon juice.

I am planning at least 4x4 hour boils in several quarts of water. Before I begin I had a couple questions.

1. I read that you should have 80ml for every 50 grams of ACRB, is this true? If you reduce more than this will you lose potency?

2. I have read many reductions and no one seems to agree on how many boils and how long they should be. Is there any consensus yet? Is 4x4 overdoing it. The bark is shredded not powdered so maybe I'm shooting under.

Thanks for your time and grey matter on this. I'm just a lil' noob. Embarrased

take some time to relax

1. I'd say 80ml for 50g is a pretty good ratio. I don't think reducing more will cause it to lost potency unless you waaaayyy overdo it.

2. 3x3 should be sufficient but 4x4 won't hurt; just don't know how necessary it is.
