Actually I rate very highly these "serious" "British" movies (Match Point and Cassandra's Dream) he has been making lately - though I like his comedies of course. Bunuel is great too, and very mysterious one. Have you seen his "La Voie Lactee" (Milky way). Now there's a trippy one.. hey! funny I actually never saw either match point and neither cassandra's dream and neither the milky way haha you're giving me a nice list here

Yes Bunuel is one of the greats, I rented 'Belle de jour' - a masterpiece... Much more to check out, thanks for all the tips.
Has anyone mentioned El Laberinto del Fauno, a.k.a. Pan's Labyrinth? A must!

Since the first time I watched it, Fight Club has been my favorite movie. Nothing I've watched comes close to it. I recommend anyone who's not seen it to watch it asap It's a very powerful movie. I'm a big fan of all of Edward Norton's movies. I'll have to check out some of the movies recommended here, sadly, I honestly don't think I've seen a single movie that's been mentioned so far.

These are my best trip movies (best watched in HD): Planet Earth (11 part series, best production I have ever seen!) Winged Migration Microcosmos Chronos Baraka The best with these movies is that they are nonverbal (except planet earth) wich means you can put on any music you like as a soundtrack =) (very good with progressive trance) Put on a new record and it's like a whole new movie. (You should watch planet earth with commentary at least once before creating your own soundtrack, just love sir David...not boner wise you know but he's a cool guy, great voice =) ) Happy trippin! =) http://www.spiritofbaraka.com/non-verbal-films

Any David Lynch fans in the house? His movies are soo bizzare and surreal that he messes with my head and i love him for it. Erasurhead (his first) is a must see classic. I cant say it's the BEST FLICK EVER but it's a must see. Dwhitty76 attached the following image(s): eraserhead-full.jpg (36kb) downloaded 70 time(s)." This is a GREAT thread! A director I've recently become interested in is Gaspar Noe--although his stuff involves extreme realism, and therefore some very brutal stuff. His two best known movies are probably: I Stand AloneIrreversibleThey are probably NOT the sort of movies you would want to watch on psychedelics--unless you place yourself in a straightjacket first.

Yes, I'm a big fan. I have his PERSONALLY re-mastered version of Eraserhead. When you buy it from his site you're buying it from HIM directly, and he gets all the money; good way to support an artist.

I've been following Lynch since high school. I was so incredibly excited when "Inland Empire" came out. I never knew digital film could be so creepy. I was always a huge fan of "Wild at Heart" as well, but I'm pretty much into everything he's done. i still think Jodorowsky could've done a better "Dune." For One Week Only: David Lynchand while I'm at it... For One Week Only: Alejandro Jodorowsky

Firsts interviewing I've seen with Jack Nance (he's dead now--died as the result of a bar fight, of all things--as I recall).

Dude !! you guy's rock !! I'm actually in the middle of downloading a documentary about jack nance called "you don't know jack"..... very interesting and talented man and his death is somewhat mysterious, like out of a David Lynch movie. I do a "Twin Peaks" marathon at least once a yr. It's good to know that you guy's appreciate good cinematic art.
