I got a $40 glass blender with the best motor from the selection i had at walmart. Powders 50g hand shredded bark in a matter of minutes.

Goodwill, imo. I've burned out two friend's blenders powderizing ACRB. However, neither occasion was with shredded bark, both were pretty big chunks, and that stuff is HARD. But yeah, cheap blenders, man. Sine experientia nihil sufficienter sciri potest -Roger Bacon *γνῶθι σεαυτόν*

But yeah, cheap blenders, man. It'll save you alot of busted blenders if you break your bark down by hand. I do it almost identical to the way i break up caapi. Big bag full of bark wrapped in a towel beaten with a hammer on the concrete floor until soft & then twisted & separated into small thin shreds by hand. It takes a little time but it doesn't end up costing you $300 in blenders over the course of a year.

Here is how I powder my bark:
I cut it up into little pieces with sharp scissors, I then run it through a food processor a few times. Finally, I run it through a coffee grinder. Most everything will be quite manageable for am extraction.
Goodluck!

I did the hammer thing on the concrete floor, then chopped up the remaining "strips" against the grain with a pair of tin snips (gave me a blister, but I survived) into bits about 1-2mm in diameter. Then I ran that through a coffee grinder and almost burnt it out. It did the job, but next time, I'll just get the pre-powdered stuff. Yesterday, upon the stair, I met a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today, I wish, I wish he'd go away.

Protip: Freeze the bark before blending. Even better, get some dry ice and let it get super cold. That way it will break apart like glass. "Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored." -A.Huxley

I've theorized freezing the bark after soaking for an hour in some water. Water swells bark, expands in freezer, then the bark is soft and broken up when it gets out of the freezer. Never tried it but that's my theory.
