Hi all, First of all i'm very grateful for all the effort and time you guys give for this community and the building up of all this valuable information and knowledge that i was astounded with when i first found the nexus.I've been visiting the forum for years when i started my journey with psychedelics.Got interested first in psylocybin had a lot of fun with mushroom cultivation. Then DMT started calling it all started when i wake up one morning and went out with a good intention to help someone dear as i was walking past an "Albizia Julibrissin" and my eyes fell on it's beautiful flower and felt in "love" with it and then i started reasearching about plants and found out about Acacias and DMT. Then i went to Sinai and met my lovely Acacia tortilis i was following a tyramine free diet and drinking "Peganum Harmala" for a couple of days before. It was a beautiful encounter as it was in full bloom in late summer i climbed up to it as the sun was coming up as i approached it saluted me with it's capturing fragrance that deeply carves itself in your conscience.I felt bewildered by this kind of communication as the fragrance the image and the sound of the scene was somehow coming from inside my mind. The disposition of this incidents happened without any intention or planning as i was taking Harmal for other purposes but it made me feel the presence of DMT in the air itself.I don't know if this is true or anything but that's what i felt. I'm sorry for the long introduction just wanted to share my experience. Will wait till spring and try leave and unripe flowers extraction of acacia tortilis as i believe easter is the perfect timing for DMT concentrations in this plant.Don't wanna smoke spice unless i extracted it myself i'm in no hurry at all. Anyone info about acacias in Egypt would be appreciated also ![Smile](/forum/images/emoticons/smile.png) Thank you all.

![Smile](/forum/images/emoticons/smile.png) ahlan friend, one tree that we often think about is vachellia seyal (acacia seyyal) ....but we probably must take our shoes off when we approach the tree...? in various dialects and languages this tree has many different names and more trad. folk nmedicinal uses than many other local acacias... (...Sami, shami, samar, sammar, somar, samor, samra, sambra, sayyal, sant, sunt, seyal, seyyal, sheeta, shittah,shittim,"talha"...etc) Some of these names draw some parallels (by name association) with the Iraqi (mandaic) safta d'sambra, a liquid that may have also included harmal. Those names that are similar to safta d' sambra are from the Gulf coast, an area that is close to Iraq/Iran...formerly, Qarmatia..
...yet the stories of the tree's bark being used for skin problems has us wide awake (also by association)

I'm still researching and observing.Dont be confused by urban bipinnate trees we have in streets they're mostly Jacaranda, poinciana, albizia.I've seen Acacias in Sinai bipinnate like tortilis and some other with phyllodes you will find scattered in the desert. The promising ones are A.Albida and A.laeta i think are distributed along the river south or along the red sea near Gabal Elba area. That's my conclusions till now. Will start working with tortilis as there is conflicting info about it i think it's a matter of seasonal variation in this tree in particular. I hope someone with more experience can tell us wether seasonal variation can affect the concentration of alkaloid that much.

right i live here at the red sea, and near to the gebl are a lot of those acacias. especialy the shara to dahab..
should be nice if someone can give infos to the sinai acacias... right i think It is the acacia nilotica which in the local parlance should be that acacia known as the kundur. Sinai is replete with species of kundur. It is the same acacia from which the frankinscence/olibanum is taken.
so i suppose the right one

Yes Acacia nilotica is used for gum arabic.Olibanum is different i had that confusion also it is from boswelia. It's up to us to understand and work with the plants here.It won't be easy but it will be a revolutionary step in building a psychedelic community in Egypt which will surely have a positive effect on society as a whole.
