Hello! Smile I just registered a little while ago, and I am very grateful that you have all come together and created this wonderful resource full of valuable information! I am theoretically an experienced psychonaut as I have been jumping into various types of rabbit holes since I was a teenager... all except for the fact that I have never done so with DMT. I have tried almost everything else, however I can feel DMT really calling me as of late... ayahuasca as well. I am listening to these 'callings' as they are requesting that I do my research first; and to extract rather than seek it out or wait for it to find me. Thus I have registered here and have began to seek understanding of this compound first before I delve in. I have theoretically experimented with small amounts, probably 'microdoses' of Ayahuasca (b. caapi and p. viridis) over the course last month just to make sure that I am not allergic to any of the plants involved. I feel that the ayahuasca wants me to try her first. Maybe sounds somewhat weird, maybe not- but I have this strong inclination that I have to listen to my gut on this, and that as I have been microdosing the compounds, even though I haven't even gotten past anything but perhaps some threshold effects, the plants have been sort of... 'guiding me' on how I should proceed. I'm glad I have made it this far and I'm excited to continue forward on this journey!

Hi SuperLK,

Welcome to the DMT Nexus!

It sounds like you're taking a balanced, careful approach to DMT and ayahuasca.

Have you been micro-dosing the caapi and viridis together or separate?

Have you considered growing either of these plants? They're both moderately easy to grow.

Welcome,
wap

That's not weird at all. If someone were to ask my opinion, I would say to try aya first, starting with small amounts, just like you're doing. Def look into growing the plants yourself, it's very rewarding.

Welcome

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I would love to work with growing the plants and develop a closer relationship with them as I have been developing my green thumb over the past few years working on growing a vegetable garden. Thank you for the suggestion it sounds like a great idea to me! So far, I started with the B. Caapi on it's own as the MAOI is more what I was concerned with reacting well in my body. I have brewed/taken the two together in small amounts for an 'allergy test' micro-dose I used aprox 8 grams of each to start off with and I repeated this a few times until I used up an ounce of each plant. These weak 'teas' were fairly pleasant tasting (I also added some ginger and cinnamon and poured over ice) and left me feeling relaxed. One of those times included less B. Caapi since I had already used some of that on it's own even though I know most recipes call for a larger ratio of vine than leaf. I think next time I decide to brew I will follow a more traditional recipe/ratio and give that a try at half strength
