First of all, forgive me, I'm sure this has been answered somewhere I just haven't come across it yet. But would it be better to use a normal freezer (The ones connected to your fridge) Or a deep freezer? One that goes below zero. I have the two, and am curious for future reference. Do you guys think with it getting even colder overnight, it would help any? Then again could it be worse, because of the faster fall in temperature? Thanks, Aweems "You didn't ask for this, You didn't mean to.. It was all in the timing. This come to, this realization."

A freezer is a freezer in my experience. If it freezes things it will most likely work. Give it a go.

If your going for bigger crystals maybe try letting the solvent sit @ room temp for 12hrs, then move it to the fridge, freezer, & then the deep freezer on the coldest setting.

Right on.. Thanks! Appreciate the response (: "You didn't ask for this, You didn't mean to.. It was all in the timing. This come to, this realization."

Or get 1 fridge with a dial. I have a mini-fridge that is also a freezer and even a deep freezer. I just turn the dial down 20 degrees every 4 hours or so. I think you'd somewhat be wasting your time growing crystals if you're disturbing them by moving the dish so often to the next level of cooling.

This is what I do, but the deep freezer wouldn't be a bad thing. It could probably reach colder temperatures.

Deep freezer on coldest setting. Be careful when you defrost though. swim found it best to filter onto coffee paper quickly and put back in the freezer for the remaining napha to drip off. The crystals need to be as dry as possible when they return to room temperature or the panpha with dilute the crystals again.

Forgive this if I am wrong, but wouldn't pouring off the now deep-frozen solvent quickly, be enough? The crystals will stay attached to your precip dish and the ice cold solvent will contain very very little dmt. IF concerned, one could return the solvent to another precip dish, allow for warming back to reoom temp (slowly) then after some evap, return it to the icebox.

Nice one Any disturbance of the container should be avoided imo.

I think just pouring it off should be fine, I rarely use a filter. Losses will most likely be minimal unless you have a lot of loose floating crystals. I just pour off solvent into another receptacle, then upturn the container that has been in the freezer on a plate until it has reached room temperature. Once it has got to room temperature, tip it up 10–20º to let excess run off. Once you have most of the solvent off you can tip further to get some air to it and dry thoroughly.
