When are you finally going to finish your tek in your extraction journal here.... I've been patiently waiting to see the clean clear shards you promised with all that chemistry gear you have...

Yeah I got pretty fed up with everyone jumping my ass and contradicting me with information they could not cite. I got this pic following the initial harvest. I'll grow the xtals out tonight if you'd like to see them.

I'm with enlightened one. I liked the tek 1ce.
The use of lab gear for more precise temperature & ph control during extraction has been something i've been thinking about for the past couple weeks.
I've only just started looking into how to assemble a nice setup to make it possible & your tek gave me an idea of what type of equipment to use Thumbs up

Beakers are cheap, sep funnel is pretty cheap and useful, an erlenmeyer flask is pretty useful for mixing and sucking out the solvent. I use a glass syringe for about all my solvent removal. All that stuff is actually pretty cheap.

Granted I'm still receiving shit because my equipment doesn't look meth ;ab enough and I guess people can't figure out they can use mason jars instead of beakers, heh.

I am simply holding him to his word and with fancy equipment like that I am curious of what the result will be and how will be differ from using more common and easier accessible supplies... I have had fantastic results numerous times using the latter of the two following Cybs' Hybrid ATB 'salt' tek here .. I also picked up the trick from Earthwalker to do a mini a/b step at the the end to produce a lovely quality end product..

I am just curious of the results.

Thanks for sharing them.

Just use extreme caution when purchasing this equipment. I see you are in Alaska, concombres, and in the US these items are watched, as are all orders. The best thing to do is find a local supplier away from your home town and pay cash. No, you are not required by law to provide ID -- Even if asked.

Granted I have a lawful excuse for lab equipment, the most reasonable advise is just get bits and pieces here and there. Don't buy everything at once. I've spent years picking up my gear.

I'm too am from the great north, and I will tell you from experience being an amatuer chemist here SUCKS. Half the chemicals you will use (for whatever reason) can't be shipped to you. Thus you're stuck synthing your own materials or purifying them from whatever source you can find.

If you're seriously looking into amatuer chemistry bear that in mind.

Ya i've looked into prices on smaller stuff.
My focus is the more complicated gear & setups.
What i have in mind may not even be possible, i dont know a whole lot about lab gear, but i'd like to piece together a setup that would be a single circuit (all connected) & run extractions with minimal work & only need to be watched to ensure it was running propperly.

& yes i know lab equipment purchases are watched in the u.s. Thats the very reason i don't currently own any.
It's been a dream for a while, but the laws here have prevented me from attemtping to build a collection for fear of legal trouble.

Take a look at applying for an agricultural FEL Pleased

Edit: for acid simmers on ACRB all you really need is a round bottom flask and alihn condenser as far as lab gear goes. heat to a gentle boil and reflux.

I'll deffinately take a look into it. I've been contemplating going to school for chemistry for years as well, but financially it would be very hard.

It's sad that chemistry has become such a target for law enforcement.

Yeah, there's alot of chemphobia these days. The FEL is a lisence to manufacture explosives. It's an excuse for an organic lab. Most LEO's have been pretty cool about it. For the rest of the country it just wouldn't fly.

But isn't that how it works in the US? Tell some crazy stories to scare people into getting laws passed?

Mark Twain once said never to let school get in the way of learning.

I might not be able to go to a uni and graduate with a chem degree. But I can study and practice in my free time just out of interest I guess.

I looked through the tek and wasn't sure why it was judged so harshly. I liked it.
You probably should have waited until it was complete though.
Everything in it I have seen before, but that's scattered through multiple teks. And it's not like the title was "BREAKTHROUGH EXTRACTION METHOD"

I think it's ok to have a tek that isn't for a beginner and uses a little lab equipment. Actually why aren't there more of those?
We have a few simple beginner teks here, I'd actually like to see one that is specifically supposed to be complex and advanced.
