Spice not white after recrystalizing? Options

I tried searching and faq but no luck, I've put some spice to re-x, put too much naptha, separated naptha from the impurities, let some naptha to evap and then put it in the freezer. After 20 hours I got kinda orange-brown spice, that was maybe even darker than the pre-x version




Is this normal due to some steps that I did (maybe evaping caused this) have I messed something up?

edit:forgot to mention, I followed cyb's tek to the T (except for the excess naptha and evaporating part)

Do a re-x in a minimal amount of naphtha, don't evaporate just freeze precipe, if this does not work do a mini ab

Your solvent might just be too hot.
Try heating water up to 100°f, use a candy thermometer to check temp. Then use that as a heat bath.
